Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10.1, AOKP42)

TDM...
"The Dev Machine" -> "Total Device Maintainer"?

If AOKP made you an Illuminati, what do they call you on the CM side?

In all seriousness, is anyone/everyone (especially TDM and Neph) planning to keep committing updates/fixes to CM, AOKP, or both? Specifically the bluetooth crash issue.

Not looking for an ETA... just wondering where the fix is likely to show up first :)

I'll be trying to fix it soon.

More or less, there were a couple last minute fixes. If you want to upgrade to the release version, dirty flash would be perfectly acceptable.

One of those fixes was to patch the kernel
Memory leak wasnt it?

CM10.1... It's official (thanks to TDM) and gets automatic nightly builds :) crack flasher's dream

So, I haven't been paying a whole lot of attention here lately, busy with work and all. I'm currently running CM10.1, beta 4; generally I really like it. Although, I don't seem to see the battery life improvement that everybody touts; I'm lucky if I get a whole day WITH a couple short charges when I drive home and back for lunch. Is the ROM I'm running the best most current build? I've been reading about nightly builds but don't seem to get them. Do I need to run a different ROM to get them? or what DO I do to get them?

the beta 4 is the quattrimus build, you need the official cm10.1 build to get the nightlies. Go here CyanogenMod Downloads

hold power + volume down until you see a screen with white text asking if you want to factory reset then hit the power button twice

But I thought that deletes user data- what if I just want to run another zip and not delete the existing ROM or user data ?

Guys- I want to tweak battery performance and have the better battery apps. I saw this guide (link) Better Battery Stats Guide | AllianceROM

Could someone point me to a better one if it exists- so I could tweak this to the max juice. thanks..

That one looks pretty good. The BBS forum on XDA also has a lot of good info, especially about autostarts.

I also like SystemPanel for a quick view of what's currently running and background processes.

thats the only way to get to CWM with the hardware that I know of. In the year I've had this phone and been on here I've never heard of another way.

It won't delete your rom but I think it's does delete your apps. Only way you can get to CWM without having to do a factory reset is by doing it from inside your existing rom

It doesn't do a factory reset unless you have the stock recovery installed.

It won't delete or change anything unless you tell it to.

Should flash the most recent one? And is it okay to just dirty flash over what I have?

yes and yes. If you experience any noticable issues then the dirty could be your problem. But I almost always dirty flash roms and never have issues. I have personally dirty flashed from the quattrimus CM10.1 to the official one without issue. I did have an issue once though; which was my home button broke.

I do think people are reporting there being an issue with bluetooth turning itself off in the official version so if you use bluetooth you may want to stay on beta 4

It only deleted user data if you don't have cwm. That warning screen doesn't go away but launches cwm instead of the stock recovery.
