Good news everyone, the Incredible is now in Costco's inventory database. Ive been checking for it for the past couple of weeks so imagine my surprise when today i saw these:

Before anyone asks, i have no idea why it says T-mobile or why the price says 199.99. All i know is this item wasnt listed yesterday and it is today.

oh ya I totally agree with you...I'm from southern CA but have family near Orlando - Disney World is AWESOME! but unless you've been there you think Disneyland is awesome too

i was always told disneyLAND is way better than disney WORLD. i've only been to disney WORLD a half million times in the span of 2 years (I lived in orlando, best friend's brother in law worked there.. so i got free passes whenever we felt like going lol). so obviously i think it's a great place to go. (drunk around the world in one day!)

but y'all are saying world is better? sweet!

can we please stay on topic? This is called the HTC incredible thread. Other than you and the person you are talking to, nobody cares about disney world.

Same goes to the people talking about other misc. crap like guns, Google Voice, etc. Go away or use the Private Messaging system. You are the reason this thread sucks.

My university has the most wireless access points in one place of any place in the world. All of them are wireless-n. I'm never going to be using 3G on campus

Also keep in mind... I hear there are a bunch of issues and you guys are the guinea pigs for Cisco

Not trying to start an argument But I'm Pretty sure that most members in my unit are issued the M4A1 Carbine Full Auto. Its a CSAR Unit.

the options are endless, but what I've learned thus far is:

it's better to go the whole nine yards and get the google number, not just the voicemail.

You do link up your cell phone number to the google voice mail, so GV manages it from here on out.

With each voicemail that is left (once you have the Google number)

1) it leaves a text transcription on your phone (which hasn't been very accurate for me- but as Keebler pointed out, this is optional)

2) it leaves a voicemail on your phone (which you need to program your GV to speedial to go in and retrieve- like we mentioned earlier- no voicemail notification through your cell phone carrier)

3) it leaves a copy of the voicemail in both your gmail AND your google voice account on your computer (where once again you can read the inaccurate transcription- or listen to the voicemail over your computer

4) In both the Gmail and the GV account you can then respond to these messages either by text or email, or originate text messages (SMS) to the contact of your choosing- thereby making the paid text service of Verizon unnecessary.

I'm sure there's more that I've left out that someone can either add to or refute...

Thank you! Can I set it up so they can call my current Verizon number and they will get my GV box or will they have to call my Google #? I guess my biggest concern is not getting an accurate caller id on incoming calls.

I know I have to do some more digging but your info is much appreciated!

Disneyland is like Magical Kingdom. the end....nothing else. Personally Epcot is my favorite ...and the water parks are awesome. To Disney's defense though, I've never been to California Adventure ...which I think has more roller coasters???

The M4's we have in my unit ARE Full Auto.

M4 Carbine= Single and 3 round burst
M4A1= single and auto (eliminating 3 round burst)

What's the deal with places like LetsTalk.com or Wirefly.com? Would they have the Incredible when it's launched, and should I consider buying from them or no? I would be a first time, new Verizon customer.

You know that's what I was just about to ask. Because as a 'new' Verizon customer at Wirefly.com, you can get the Moto Droid for $19.99. And as far as I know it's all legit. I'm not sure if anyone else here as bought from a reseller like this or not.

But it does make you wonder if the Incredible will have a similar pricing.

Thoughts?

(Also, lurker for about a week or so. First time post. Thanks for all the insight. I'm rockin' the enV2 and definitely excited for Incredible.)

You can set up google voice to show the incoming caller ID instead of the GV #. also you can set it up so when they call your verizon number, it goes to your GV inbox. Also, if they call your GV# you can screen the call (where you pick up your phone, GV tells you who is calling, and you can send them straight to voicemail or pick up). Its fun

i love epcot too! (hence my comment about getting drunk around the world! lol quite expensive though.. oh well. that's how i celebrated my 21st! lol)

I also love Typhoon Lagoon and Animal Kingdom. MK is OK. MGM is great for the Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster. park hopper + fast pass.. = lots of walking and no waiting. haha
