In fact, double-clicking on "root.bat" should yield the same results. The reason I instructed everyone to do this from a command prompt is to view any error messages (should they encounter problems).
hey, yea step 5 is freaking confusing, you should add to it that you can just simply double click "root.bat"
it did it fine for me had to keep it in hand cuz its a fast root
