Root [DISCONTINUED] MegaTron 6.2.5

I def. like the idea of being able to use other apps in the quickpanel. Being able to change the theme sounds good too.
 
Like the way that quickpanel looks. Just curious, could future updates to this rom include swipe to clear notifications in the quickpanel as well?

If i get the time to do it, and if i get it working. Lg's systemui is very weird. Im use to smsung nd zte's systems which is pretty much stock android.

You do know ,
if you open quickpanel and if you have any notification
On the right, next to date/time on the same line 3 white lines(next to blue icon)
if you click on those white lines, it clears notifications.
;)

But that clears them all and is not selective which is what I believe the user is asking for. I hope for the same thing eventually.
 
Guys, like Chev said earlier, it's not that easy to do. He tried when we were testing the original release but it caused problems with the status bar. It's gonna take some in-depth work for him to figure out what's causing the problems with it. Give him time. Hopefully he'll be able to figure out what's going on and fix it.
 
What would it take to add the ability to pull down the notifications tab on the lock screen?

I'm able to do so with my widget locker, in not too sure about the stock locker though, maybe test out a couple of different lockers and see which one is for you.
 
I just have some issues with my phone after being on for about 2 days in a row I get like this static sound once in a while especially when typing, has anybody else got that? And when I reboot it it gets stuck in a black screen and I have to pull the battery out to make it work again.

Well, there are a couple things that you can do. You can do a wipe and then a fresh install or you can use an app called AutomateIt from the Market. It will allow you to set it where your phone will reboot once a day.

Personally, i would wipe it and do a complete install. Lol

EDIT: you can also try flashing the kernel. It is located in the Hyper Kernel thread. Version 2. It is the one for GB that is marked FULLY STABLE. Just download and flash in CWM.

Thanks I'll give this a try, never knew it could be a rom issue, I'm doing the resets now once a day I got the reboot faster app today and set it on a schedule maybe that will help if not then I'll make a full flash.

I think that something has either become corrupt in the ROM or you've got an app or two that aren't running properly. If it just started happening after you installed a couple of apps, that's where I would start troubleshooting. Try removing the apps you recently installed recently, run it for awhile and then install them 1 at a time. All this of course after you've done a fresh install of the ROM. lmao :p
 
I rx'd an OTA message this morning to update to 6.1.1. Followed the instructions. Selected reboot after install and...nothing. Pulled the battery, waited awhile, reinstalled the battery, held the power button...nothing.

The OTA updater will not install the update automatically. You must use CWM and navigate to the OTA folder. When you find the update, install it. Make sure that signature verification in CWM is turned off first.

Did all that.

When I say I hold the power button down and nothing happens, nothing happens...no Samsung logo...nothing.
 
Does anybody have the same issue that having no service after "Network Reset" and "MDP" on the phone? Had some issues with the net and the agent before told me to do a couple of steps in order to get it back when it happens again. But having no service for a while now. Ill try to call the agents at Boost again and see what to to...

*Edit:

Issue resolved, noticed that the steps the old rep gave me changed my phone number to 00000 something number and that took my services off, and after giving a few steps... (should have written it down) to change the phone number back to my own it all worked fine. Had an issue with the 3g at first though because it did not appear at all but after a reboot the 3g came back up...
 
Oh well skater said he was making an ics theme but idk I haven't heard of any themes being released yet and oh well I hope he succeeds
 
Just talked to Chev and he doesn't think he's going to make any. He also said that UOT Kitchen has been down for a few weeks.

Looks like we'll have to make our own. lol

Darn -.- if only I were a developer I would have made one but I'm a noob with making custom roms and themes. I don't know much about programing either oh well
