MidnightRom: GS2 1.03 (3/19/2013)

I tryed it out I just don't like nova launcher sorry went back to the epic Rom it was great besides I allway love you work but I just don'.t like nova launcher sorry !!!

Okay ^_^ Removed nova launcher and added back the touchwiz launcher!

Then when making subsequent calls using ex Dialer, the phone doesn't even start dialing. Phone restart fixes the problem.

I've fixed this in the next version that I'm uploading now. That and the "Google play services has stopped" error that caused the phone phone to lock up.

This phone is officially my baby lol.
For those who follow my Evo V 4G development, I'm officially dubbing MidnightRom and MidnightRomS "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Jellybean and CM10.1 will still be worked on, but those other two are...well...perfect lol
 
I'm getting an externally altered error when trying to transfer the midnight v 1.01 zip to my SD card.

And with the v1.00, it downloaded and I put it on my SD card, when I go to flash the zip, I get this "symlink" error
 
I'm right in assuming that this doesn't require Gapps? I'm going to be getting a replacement for my phone, and I want to flash it with this since I've had nothing but issues with it on the JB roms.

I get the same error while flashing as well

EDIT-- format system/data/cache first, then flash. I tried that and it worked
 
Hey guys,

I'm having a problem with MMS. I'm able to send/receive mms photos over Wifi but haven't been able to send/receive on 3G/4G. Data works fine for 3G/4G but I just can't do MMS unless I'm on wifi.

Now, when I first installed, I created a backup for this rom immediately but I forgot to back up some data in my FJ12 rooted stock rom. I restored in recovery, backed up what i needed to in titanium, went back to recovery and restored this rom.

Should I have gone back to unrooted FJ12, update to FL26, and then install rom and then restore my recovery?

You can easily just reset everything. Just use Rwilco12's Android Repository in odin download mode, update the phone, and then follow the instructions in the second post ^_^

Hey, I've got a quick question. I had already flashed my phone, and I used the tool to downgrade back to FL14. Phone is just kinda sitting at the samsung screen and not doing anything now. Is a long boot time normal, or did I mess something up?

What exactly did you do to revert to stock Ixlair?
 
Okay, what I would do is open up the rooted restore .exe, shut off your phone, enter ODIN mode, Vol Down + Power, plug it into the computer, re-run the download to your phone. Sometimes they are wonky and need to be done again. Happened to me a few times. Should be set afterwards.
 
Going to backup my phone right now and then install this ROM. Been contemplating it too long, time to just jump right in. I think I can do without Google Now for a bit. =]

Here is what I did. I went into recovery and wiped everything, and then reflashed it. It works now. I think I just forgot to wipe everything, and it soft bricked when I went to downgrade everything. Thanks though, man. Everyone here is so helpful, it's awesome.
 
So uh. Interesting. I reflashed it and it updated after it turned on and... I'm on Jelly Bean. Stock jelly bean.

Interesting.
