Sorry, a bit MIA lately..... remodeling and getting ready for the spring garden has me totally pooped. And Mr Lin is itching to move. I'm avoiding that like the plague since he speaks and I have to pack and organize the entire process.

It was very painless using the app. Chainfire on the XDA has complete instructions.
Basically download the stock image, unzip it (or extract it) to get the tar file, copy the tar file to the phones storage (external SD card), open odin pro, have it check the MD5. Then flash.
Way WAY simpler then using the PC.
You probably could not even use a PC because I believe there is an app you can use to unzip the sucker right on your phone and you can download the file to your phone from the browser (usually downloads).
If you want I can find the link for the instructions and PM them to you since they are hosted on another forum. Just hit me up in a PM to make sure I get the request

In short, yes it's very similar to the S3 (assuming the post is accurate) no it's not really that ugly, especially by 'brick' phone standards (I'm thinking nexus line?) all in all, the best feature is the bigger battery. Other than that, as far as hardware goes, its pretty much an S3 on steroids.
Summery of common specs from S3 - S4 (rumored)
Ram - same for US, +1GB for Europe
CPU - updated, faster than S3
Capacity - same format - 16GB/32GB/64GB? With micro SD
Display - improved - more efficient - slightly bigger
Camera - improved + 1MP & probably slightly better sensor/software/firmware
Battery - +500 Mah over S3 to 2600
So overall, while you'd expect improvements in the next gen flagship, obviously there are some, but, imo nothing earth shattering but the best bits are the battery, display performance/power reduction and CPU tech. Obviously coupled with a new Touchwiz and updated Android This could turn out to be a beast of a phone and pretty efficient too. (based entirely on rumour & speculation)

Like I said, coming from a low/mid-range phone to a flagship will always be a much more worthwhile experience, once you have a flagship phone, don't expect the next one to blow your socks off. My S3 will fo me for another year, and I've still not bothered to root.
Cool. Any worth while features? I loved CM back in the day, but since Android has evolved there seem to be fewer features that I'd benefit from to justify rooting and flashing.
