I still get the Hard Hat sign. And twitter.com/sprintdotcom doesn't say anything is up yet - maybe you guys are one of the lucky few :D

Confirmed. Most if not all video reviews confirm that use of animated wallpaper, but it appears that Sprint/HTC will ship the device with the static carbon/black wallpaper. Check out YouTube: search for HTC EVO 4G or just EVO 4G.

Can't wait to kill my batter with some crazy animated wallpapers... anybody know of a good site to download these wallpapers?

They're all over the Android Market, but there may be other places to get them.

I wouldnt even call the EVO the promised "Iphone Killer"

As of right now, and if the phone is shipped in the next month to 2 months.....there will be NO phone in the market with the specs that the EVO has.

And it being the first true 4G phone...no other phone can say that.

Look at how well Android OS has been doing, 30,000 apps, albiet Ive only used Android a couple times(Have had a PRE for almost a year now, love WebOs). So im not as familiar with how well the OS runs.

The only Con I see to the EVO right now is its battery life...how much 4G usage will drain it, and how well it will run on 3G?

Also how is Android's multitasking??? Coming from a PRE, I already know going to Android this will be a step back.

Oh, so it's just your opinion that Sense UI is better on WinMo than android, but not necessarily fact.

Yeah, I hate the bottom slider on TF3D for my Touch Pro. So many times, I try to push one tab specifically and it hits a different tab. Then, say I'm going through contacts, if I go all the way to the bottom Favorite contact, it changes to whatever tab is lined up with those favorites. Such a PITA. And then, even worse is when I slide out the keyboard. Just very frustrating IMO.

Maybe that kind of thinking will get Sprint and HTC to ship the phone as soon as they possibly can (if they aren't doing so already).

IMHO: The phrase "iPhone killer" has become cliche, not only has the phrase been used too many times, but every time it has been used used it has been in a failed prediction. And the word "killer" suggests permanent status, which we all know will not be the case. I am willing to bet that the EVO 4G will be the "hottest" and "most feature rich" on the market when it finally does come out, but the "new hotness" will be right around the corner... so all I am asking is that we not use that phrase, please.

I understand where you're coming from, but I still think we need a phrase that applies to a product that dethrones Apple from basically dictating mobile policy. How many companies make an iPhone app and then ignore all other platforms? That has to stop. And since we have a capitalist system, that will only stop when other platforms become as popular as the iPhone. THAT will only happen if the other platform is superb and marketed as superb.

The EVO4G is that platform+product.

I agree with all that, BUT think about it....if 4G really does launch off due to the EVO, Sprint is going to have a huge step ahead of the competition.

AT&T and Verizon will be scrambling to get LTE up and a 4G phone out....problem being both wont be ready for atleast another year.

If 4G/WiMax is a sure fit hit, and Sprint sells EVO like hotcakes(Which we all expect)....then EVO is going to be the "IT" phone for awhile. The only thing I see coming down the road, is the rumored Iphone HD, or whatever Verizon Iphone that is be whispered about.

Even with the rumor of a new Iphone w/ front facing camera, and its used for video chat...I cant even imagine how well that would run on only 3G....EVO would still have a step in front of it.

Yeah, I just like the crazy graphic effects the HD2 has compared to the Android version of Sense UI. The Sense on the HD2 is much better than the TF3D the Touch Pro (1/2) had. You should take a look at a T-Mo store :D.

How bout rivals the iphone?

When you think about it, it is not a bad product, although I will say it is inferior and due to their businesses practices, I would not be caught dead with one (except for in a strange dream I had last night where I bought an iphone then promptly sold it to buy an evo)

As far as apps are concerned, iPhone only apps drive me insane as well.

We all know that the iphone will probably not ceases to exist, however I truly believe that Android is the operating system that will rival it and probably even overtake it in terms of market share. With multiple companies running effective marketing, everyone is going to want an android phone.
