So it's just a placebo? I noticed that when I switched to 3G my signal bars didn't constantly fluctuate between full and none. I don't really know but we should worry about that after we get data lol I'm getting ahead of myself
 
Can i just do a dirty flash of the CM10 update, or do i need to do a clean flash of the update, then restore data.img from a nandroid?

edit: just flashed the update only, and went though an "Android is upgrading" process, and everything was working fine, except mobile network....however i had lost mobile network on Saturday night and when i went to my in-laws house and connected to their wifi the next day my mobile network mysteriously reappeared. So i don't know that the loss of mobile network necessarily has to do with the update.

Going to restore to the backup i made this morning, verify that mobile network is working, and then try flashing update again.
 
Restored to my backup before the update and mobile network came back on. Going to try reflashing update and see if mobile network sticks this time.
 
tried doing a clean flash of update and still could not get mobile network? but works fine when i restore my update from this morning before the update.
 
Alright, so First, let me say that I'm sorry for my long absence...it's a story I don't really feel like going through.
I am not with metro anymore, but my phone's still on their service, and has a plan on it, so I figured I'd be an unofficial tester for this rom; and i've gotta say the update as of yesterday is fkn SLICK! Great job PG!

Also, on the data issue, I DID notice while going through all of the information that my
MIN was incorrect.
Whereas it's supposed to be min

NOTE....the 0 turned into a COMMA?!?!?!? ( I had to leave the typo here just for the sake of S&G's...I meant colon, but had very little sleep last night as I'm engulfed in a 2nd degree sunburn.)

I have a REALLY good suspicion that the reason data isn't working for some is beause something's goofing on the installation of the rom itself, or isn't getting translated right when being pushed onto the phone since this is the case.
Hopefully this'll help you get something figured out, if anything is possible.
Honestly, since I don't even use my phone for anything besides offline gps, and an fm streaming media player in my car I'm not too concerned with data, BUT if I could have the 1x that I'm getting here in Lubbock, Texas since 4g isn't covered at ALL in the largest college town in texas (metro's fkn ******ed) it'd be nice to play pandora.
 
actually this time after restoring my back up i still had no mobile network. Going to try starting from scratch with the new update and see if i can get mobile network back up, and then reinstall all my apps.

Took awhile but about 10 minutes on the new update, my mobile network showed up.

edit: Well, just lost service again.....didn't do anything really, just changed the weather from custom location to geolocation and just locked the screen, then unlocked it and it said "searching for service", turned custom location back on and MetroPCS showed up.....could that be right. Such a little thing causing me to lose mobile network? Then it disappeared again, so i switched it back and it came back again....?

Maybe a coincidence.

Do me a flavor, and see if in the phone's status information under settings/network it's displaying anything out of the ordinary for you, too.
Report back with your findings if you don't mind, Moses.

Network: MetroPCS (changes to "Searching for Service" when no service)
Signal Strength: (varying between -85 and -91, drops to -120 when no service)
Mobile Network Type: CDMA - 1xRTT:7 (changes to CDMA - eHRPD:14 when no service)
Service State: In Service (changes to "Out of Service" when no service)
Mobile Network State: Disconnected (says this always)
My Phone Number: Unknown (says this always)

BTW I am currently back on 3/12 update, because i thought i was getting a better connection on that, but it appears to make no difference if i am on this or the 3/17 update. Actually going to flash Black Plague and see what kind of reception i get.

I realize there is a chance that i am just getting a crap connection today, but I kind of find that hard to believe because i have never had a service issue on Black Plague. And my wife has the same exact phone on Stock, and no service problems.

I would rate myself at best a 7/10 when it comes to phones, so i don't know if having a Data connection makes a difference with Mobile Network. But I would think if that was the case then having WiFi would probably effect it, but it doesn't seem to matter if i am connected to WiFi or not, nor does having GPS on seem to make a difference. Just taking shots in the dark though.

I'm wanting to try the March 12th update instead of the 17th to see if anything varies on my handset. Would you mind letting me know how you're getting a hold of it? I can't seem to find a link anywhere (although I admit i haven't googled my hands off yet.)

That was a fresh BP install though, going to try one more thing, going to try my nandroid backup from 3/4/13 and see what i get.
 
Moses try flashing VV4 firmware and see if network comes back, and stays. Worked for PG and a few others. When I lost my network, I threw a bunch of hail marys and finally got it back with VV3.

^^ OP updated too and as it says on the OP my wiki gets updated first, goo self updates when I upload. ;)

I got a LTE:13 mobile network type on my wifes Connect yesterday on 0317 but still no data yet. Its either not fully reading the uicc card or apns for some reason yet IMO.
