Look carefully at the middle row, far right, two upper trapezoids - the bottoms don't match, and you're losing height in the second row from the top on the right, and subsequently throughout, hidden by graphical sleight of hand in subsequent pictures.
The leftover piece is the total area lost doing that.

Except my dog has OCD. If I park my car in a different spot in the driveway she will bark and bark at it, lunge and retreat, hackles up and everything.
