New Sale

Ok just like I predicted, after March 31st, and with the announcement of the S4, they have put the S3 as well as a few others on sale...granted it is with the ill-fated mail in rebate, but hey, money off, is money off:

Galaxy S3 - $449 after $50 MIR
LG Spirit - $219 after $70 MIR
Huawei Premia - $99 after $50 MIR
LG Connect $299 after $50 MIR (waste of money)
Galaxy Lightray - $409 after $50 MIR
LG Motion - $99 after $50 MIR

And the Motion is at $100, just where I said it'd be.

Once again, Metro has me going WTF, O? They put a new rebate on the Spirit but also raise it's regular price $10. What the 'ells up witdat? Interestingly, Wirefly followed suit and raised Their Spirit price the same $10.

Wirefly apparently doesn't want to have to order any more Motions. They have it at $149. (Hellooooo? )

AF Member Wirefly, go slap whoever is in charge of setting the Motion price. They appear to be asleep at the wheel.

that phone was a mind-numbing failure in every single way. people should be getting paid $400 to use that thing.

The ashtray fate will be like the Samsung craft fate it will keep collecting dust and sale for $39 lol

metro never made their investment back on that phone thats why its still at a high price. the tv service also was a flop after december 31,2012 they started to charged for the tv service and worst part was they had barley any coverage anywhere and where they did have coverage you would be lucky to have 1-2 channels

Can believed you put waste of money next to the connect but not the lightray

yeah, the connect was a decent purchase when it was released. the only phone that was like it was the esteem.

the lightray was just idiotic. its released with the S3 right around the corner for less than $50 more and the motion that was already out that was 10x better and 3x cheaper. outdated specs, a gaudy antenna for a mini TV that didnt work and with metro releasing more ICS phones that are much cheaper the ashtray looks dumber and dumber with every new phone release.

truly a failure for the ages.

Spec wise, that premia isn't so bad, neither is the ZTE Avid, its pretty strong phone too.

For most entry level Androiders, these phones are perfect. And the fact Mpcs is expanding their high end level phones lately is also pretty amazing too.

Now, the only problem is we need a bigger dev community when it comes to the metro phones.

im trying :(

There are many contenders in that category then.
Very few of the recent released phones have a dev community.

lg motion is $100 smackers at best buy just picked one up...it is amazing...I don't know what any one is talking about that the screen is crap...it looks better than my friends galaxy nexus..

I think it's time metro retires gingerbread already if they want more consumers on their side of the fence they atleast need to be at par with latest firmware. I understand different brands of phones such as zte and Huawei but if they wanna atleast sell them right atleast make them appealing.

phones like the motion, premia, and avid are spectacular entry level phones. i couldn't believe i was getting a phone as good as the motion for $150 after coming off of a $350 phone in the connect which doesnt even compare.

4 days with the new "sale" prices and there's no rebate forms (needed for the "sale" price) on the Mothership's website.

Being the loving and appreciative customer I am, I took the opportunity to job 'em witda pokin' stick on their Faceplant page about it. :D

Sorry Metro, I gots ta calls 'em likes I sees 'em.

You watched that ball sail right on by ya Metro. ;)

Metro answered back.

There basically Is No Sale UNLESS you are adding a line to an account.

Pretty screwy if you ask me to have that show as a "for every body" "sale" on their website.

Current correct no fambly plan costs; S3-499, Spirit-269, Premia, Avid AND Motion-149 (!!)

Yikes.

I bought a Spirit from amazon... but the metro site isn't sending me a rebate form when I ask for it (right on their Spirit page). Do I get the rebate when I activate the account? I've never used metro before, I don't know how they do these things.

As soon as the rebate expires (for purchasing the phone date anyway) they pull the forms down.

You'll need to get the form from a store or Metro.

'sides, in your case it doesn't matter, Amazon phones don't get the rebate (nor Walmart or Best Buy)
