Random Thought Thread

No, even before his comment I've always thought that way about Americans with arms. I mean, it's just a different image being portrayed.

Ok, so you thought that. That's fine.

But asking us as if it's a fact, I dunno. I won't answer to a stereotype, sorry, it's not exactly unprejudiced.

I've been to Asia and Europe, a lot.

Unlike elsewhere, America is a nation of many peoples, many cultures, many beliefs and many views.

I've heard a lot of hate overseas that begins with, "why do Americans..." and then ends in a description of people or behaviors that I've never met nor seen.

If you say, "some Americans are like xyz" then you'll be right because we have it all.

If you think that you know what percentage believes what, you may be right, but will far more often be wrong.

Why are Americans addicted to their arms?

My mistake.

I thought that you were asking about what you believed was a fact, once I understood what you meant. (I thought you might have been talking about tattoos or something.) Especially after saying that you always thought that.

Sorry for my mistake. :)

This cracked me up.

Depends how you cook it out.

The sugar will actually neutralize tomato acids, and result in salts and moisture that cooks right off. It's actually better the second day. A little trick I picked up from my Sicilian momma. :)

brown sugar! and hey!!! That's one my secret ingredients for my famous fantabulous tomato sauce (or tomato gravy as my Northern Italian gfather used to call it)
pshhhh..Sicilians!:p;)

Northern Italy? No fooling? Cool! No wonder we get on so well.

By the way, they have this new thing - spices. They're really good in sauce too! :D

Does the sugar affect the lemon juice that's added to bring out the tomato flavour ..?
