Can Emoticons Be Added ?

Is it possible to add any more emoticons/smiley faces to the text app? Stock or otherwise? And if so, where do you find them at?

Handsent has emoticons built-in .... download from market.
While entering text hit menu button on bottom and select "Insert Smiley"

The emoticons in Handcent are the same as those in the stock messaging app, and you insert them the same way. The emoticons are built into the framework-res.apk in /system/framework of the Droid. I belive the OP was asking for MORE or different icons.

I agree, this is the only thing I miss from my iphone messaging. I seemed like I had a hundred emoticons on my iphone including all kinds of little pictures. Now all I have is a couple. It would be nice to see some type of add on for handcent like with the fonts.

Correct, I want new or more emoticons in addition to what is in the phone currently.

Actually my wife is the one that was really wanting to find more since our BB's had tons of them. Seems like it would be a simple thing to do. Maybe there isn't enough interest.
