ok, so I am switching from ATT to verizon for the incredible. one thing I am not completely clear on. If I order from verizon online can I still take my phone into a verizonwireless store if I have problems or will I have to do evrything through mail/shipping... also, if I order from verizon online do they give the $100 rebate instantly or will i have to still wait for a mail in rebate?

LOL! I know, I know, but I only work part time (mom gig) so if I don't work Thursday I have to go in Friday and Friday is my day to PLAY with my new toy!

I heard a rumor that it will be out in just two weeks! Take it fwiw. Its just a rumor. I hope it is true though!

I have a BB now and one of the reasons is I could keep my grandfathered AC plan and not have to go with Nationwide. This says I have to go that way even though when I "rented" the Droid I did not. I'm pretty sure it said I had to then but the store got it going without changing anything. Guess I'll find out on the 19th for sure.

On a separate note I have a friend that makes good money writing Iphone and Ipad apps and for some reason he hates this phone.
 
Someone working at Verizon must be visiting these forums. Hopefully they have some answers with the actual delivery date, pre order online, how much do you need to pay with NE2 discounts, instant online discount, and mail in rebate.

Or....

We could all wait until Monday 4/19 and find out ourselves.
 
Thanks to all for the great information over the last few weeks that I have been here lurking/posting! I can't wait for 4/29 and continue to come here for the best information!

Got a quick question, I can not get the NE2 option since I am already under verizon wireless contract so my only way to get this phone is full retail price. If I want to pre-order this phone on april 19th, will I be able to do so eventhough I will have to pay full retail for it.

Well yes you can. I can do it for you. I will even ship it out on the first of the month then make your contract on 5/12.

Yikes, its deja vu all over again. Verizon used to say that any wifi on a cellphone had minimal value, because "the network" was so awesome. Thankfully, popular demand eventually forced Verizon to change their tune ... much, much too late in the game.

By the same token, you should be mad than wifi n got dropped -- not complacent. Its not until the consumers demand better specs that Verizon listens.

I, for one, am sad that this phone has weaker specs than I was led to believe. :( I'll still buy one, but it'll be more likely to be returned now.

I am pretty sure they do. I have always had to sign for my phones delivered through FedEx from Verizon. To be safe, I usually put a note on my door saying that if no one answers, go to the neighbor and have them sign.
 
Its weird the release doesn't mention the 8gb onboard. Yet when I got my email after I signed up for notifications it mentions the 8gb of onboard memory.

Yes, they will on VZW shipments, even on replacements. Just take it off. I will be along with a TON of other folks here to give us time to play with our newest toy!!! :rolleyes:;)

You'd have more luck calling a vz techie. Whenever I've had a techie question for her she'd have to do the same. I'd rather not put her out.

I'm generally with you, but not including N is not the same as not including Wifi.
