Same hardware (almost), same software (again, almost). Yes, you can assume the reviews will be similar. But take it with a grain of salt. Verizon has already shown they can mess anything up if they put their minds to it. :)

I own a pre so that should be enough of a explenation righ there but anyway I can't stand the terrible built quality and the inablity to do stuff, that I should be able to do and I know I can do pretty much on any android device.

I'm just kinda annoyed that Verizon is dropping this phone already and we still gotta wait... I mean I know part of it is b/c I want it already and Im looking forward to my first Android device. I just hope they release it in time so there not beat out by the competition!! A lot of people who are on Verizon or Sprint now who may or may not be on contract, might not wait for the Evo especially b/c there's no real release date for it. And you know how we get when we become inpatient LOL.... it's on to the next thing.. IDK...but I can see this kinda hurt Sprint b/c a lot of people will be like ahh fuk it...I'm just gonna get the HTC incredible which in a lot of ways is very similar to the evo!!

the screen is actualy smaller, so the phone is a little smaller. not that it matters.

and that pic of the back of the phone makes it looks realy awkward to hold.

Agreed. At least this way I won't have to go prepaid for a month, assuming the Evo comes out in June. My contract w/ ATT expires in May.

Your right... If I did not care about a more expensive price plan and 4G speed and 4.3 inch screen I would totally go with the Droid Incr. (not being sarcastic just pointing out why I personally am willing to wait for Sprint and EVO.)

Wow, the Incredible has a 3.7 inch screen, you are correct. I gave the Incredible too much credit!

Someone remind me why this thing is worth $200? I'd save my dough and wait for the EVO4G (if I even considered VZW worth $100 per month, which I do NOT).

I have a launch Pre, by the way, so I am wanting the EVO as much as anyone!
 
hey for all the people that have actually seen a HD2 in person, is it just me or do all these 3.7 inch sreens look small when you see the phones in person. Like I was looking at the Moto Droid yesterday and was like this screen is tiny. HAHAHA
 
I know we all want to get the Evo right now but we got to be patient. From a personal view...I could care less what other carriers are bringing out. When the Evo comes....it will be the best phone out. No other phone will match it. I know for a fact when I get mine, people around me will be in awe.
 
im still trying to figure out why its worth 200. if verizon is trying to sell it (especially with the evo and, this hurts to say, iphone 4 coming soon) the price should be under 100

Me too. It's a wonder anyone will pay $300 up front, and then wait 6 - 8 weeks for the $100 rebate for the Incredible.

Theres no official release date for the EVO or the Iphone 4....yet. So they are probably going to price high accordingly and then lower the price when the EVO and Iphone are released...that would be my guess

Because these things cost $600+ to the carrier and they can only subsidize so much of the cost. Verizon isn't hurting for subs so there is little incentive to drop below the industry standard of $199 for a subsidized high end handset.

I don't like how rectangular the 3.7" inch screens seem to be...
