Keyboard with arrows. Why doesn't it come with this?

I need some arrows on my galaxy s3 keyboard. Why it doesn't come with it is beyond my understanding. I have tried some other keyboards and they all crash and have problems. Why can't they just supply it since the touch screen method of moving the cursor really sucks!

Please help.

Thanks

Have you tried using Perfect Keyboard Free? It is much better than the Samsung keyboard in my opinion.

It has a cool feature where if you swipe upwards on the space bar, a row of arrows appears. Swipe back down and they disappear. I really recommend this keyboard. It's very highly featured and configurable - you can even change the size of the keys and the spacing between rows.

It also has very good word prediction and offers more choices than other keyboards I have tried.

I have purchased the highly venerated Swiftkey keyboard, but I prefer to use this free keyboard as it is so awesome.

True, but you have to tap first on [123] then on [{&=] in order to bring up the appropriate keyboard - not as nice as just swiping up on the space bar.

And SwiftKey is not free.

Not anymore, you get them on an optional bar along the bottom of the keyboard no matter what button set your on.

+1 to SwiftKey

i like how it's an additional row at the bottom of the keyboard.

I don't like an extra row taking up more space all the time. That's why I like the way Perfect Keyboard keeps the row hidden until you swipe up on the space bar. And then you can hide it again by swiping down on it.

The important thing though is that the OP has some good suggestions for alternatives to the flawed stock keyboard, some of them even free. :)

Depends actually, SwiftKey is the only one I found working with two languages at the same time. There's no need to switch between the two, that's what I like about it. Other keyboards require you to switch language each time.

Isn't it full of bugs and crashes a lot? That's what I was told.

But it has some major bugs in it. It crashed a lot when i had it.

The latest version came out a little over a month ago. I've been using it since that update. The only problem I found was that when using the landscape keyboard, if the entry field changes what you type (like the mention feature on Google+), the text prediction line disappears. I have to tap on back and then get back into the keyboard to get it back. This doesn't occur very often. Other than that, I have not found any other issue. Also, this bug only happen in landscape. The portrait keyboard had no issues that I have encountered.

If any app is buggy after an update or 4, try uninstalling it and reinstalling from play store. As with firmware updates, app updates can leave residual code after a while, sometimes causing random bugs or settings not applying properly. ;)

No, I haven't found any bugs and it hasn't crashed once on my phone.

You say this is what you've been told, but now you've been told otherwise, and so you will not know unless you try it yourself. :)

What have you to lose? It's free, after all. And it's not called Perfect without at least approaching that status. Try it.
