PhoneScoop interpreted this a bit differently...

"Verizon Wireless today took the wraps off the long-rumored HTC Droid Incredible, the newest phone in the carrier's Android lineup. The Droid Incredible will be available online from April 19, and in stores from April 29. The new device will cost $300 with a contract, and a $100 mail-in rebate, which comes as a debit card, is available. Yadda yadda yadda

Obvious poor reporting on their part :(

I've been lurking on this thread since day 1 and I just couldn't contain myself anymore and had to finally join. I wasn't sold on the Incredible until about a month ago and now it is all I can think about. Can't work, can't sleep.....this is not good.

LOL. This happens to me just about every time some new info comes out on this INCREDIBLE piece of hardware. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

MULTITOUCH QUESTION: What are the chances that the keyboard will have true multitouch? (In other words, I press down a letter with one finger, leave my finger on that letter, and with a different finger start pushing different letters: if it's like the Droid, it'll just repeatedly type the 1st letter that I have left my finger on. In other words: will the keyboard work the same way the iGag's keyboard does?)

Please please please say it has true multitouch! Also, please don't tell me about Swype or some alternative; I already know they exist.

If this has already been answered, I apologize: I've been trying to keep up on this thread, but I am bound to miss some stuff.

Thanks.

^ I'm quoting myself b/c by the time it showed up as posted there were like 10 posts after it so it got lost in the shuffle...

Anybody know how much the Incredible will cost with a 1 year contract? $250? $299?

Most likely $279.99 if you're already a Verizon customer, and $249.99 if you're a new customer.

Damn this is one nice phone...but I am caught in a dilemna. Do I pay $200 to get it now, or wait a bit and save some cash? I know VZW will kick back the difference if it drops within 30 days, but I'm strapped at the moment. What to do? Oh, what to do?
