Folks, please stop stressing, and for that matter, commenting on the thread being closed, the fate of the thread, etc... With or without this thread, the community continues and this is not the beginning of the end, quite the contrary, this is only the end of the beginning. A new chapter for us all awaits and it will be even more exciting than you can imagine...

I just want to see the fat lady sings sketch as the final post for this thread!:D

I have NO CLUE about the answer to this, but I bet someone with an Eris here can test that exact senario out for you on their phone and that might answer the question for you. I would think it would have everything to do with Sense UI. So...
WHO HAS AN ERIS TO TEST THIS OUT WITH?

I would actually like to have this question answered myself as well.
There is no multitouch in the Sense UI keyboard

There is, however, a keyboard replacement that will do the trick. Smart Keyboard Android application | Droid Dog

searching around I'm pretty sure you can't walk out with the incredible on the 18th from best buy mobile you can just preorder it and also you might have to get an best buy $50 gift card

They have to offer this pre-sale through their regular stores too. There are a ton of entire states that don't have a Best Buy Mobile Store. I live in Las Vegas, there are 6 Best Buys here, but not one Best Buy Mobile. It just wouldn't make sense not to offer it through their other locations.

I wanna get the phone in hand first. I wanna first learn the Android OS, then I will play with adding software. I will be asking folks for advice.

I mean, I coming from WM 6.1. It's a lot different.

So the news that the manual was released and on this site made me go from lurker to member. However, I am not able to dl the manual as when I clicked the "Boom" I got an invalid download message. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Currently I have the Moto Droid and I am within my 30 days with the phone and would love to read up on the Incredible so I could make an educated decision. I am sure my I will have my answer once I can dl the manual but real quick can anybody tell me if this phone also have the Google Navigation?

Thanks in advance and great site!

Wow that is pretty impressive:eek::D

If you joined the middle of Feb thats about 60 days ago.

1950/60= 32.5 post a day.... at this rate you'll hit 10,000 posts in December of this year:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I don't foresee that happening. I can't keep this up and live a normal (relatively) life. ;)

I've been lurking on this forum for months, and have read every post, learning as much as I can. Last night I decided I should do "the right thing" and formally register (never felt I had much to add other than to voice my "incredilust" for this phone). Well I logged on this evening, and what do you know.... it's been officially released. I'd like to think my registration was just the little nudge fate needed ..... or maybe not..... Just glad to be on board, and thanks to everyone else's hard work -Romeodroid

Out of his ass, apparently. They're interpreting the 8GB onboard memory as meaning it has an 8GB microSD card.

On pg. 25 of the launch package it say: "Installing a MicroSD (8GB pre-installed)." Whether or not the phone does comes with one, I really don't know, but that kind of makes it sound like it does.

He's stopping at 1958 ..... yeah right like he can stop posting, you shouldn't have shown him the numbers now he's going to double his efforts to blow away any expectations, just because he can...

I've heard that before:

Gotta dangle the carrot - LOL:D:D

And if you factor in that it probably took him a bit to build momentum - he might reach it sooner if he keeps up the current pace:eek:

Eris is not at 2.1 so it might be different, no?

To me, the definition of "onboard memory" means built in, not pre-included.

Personally, I'd rather trust a proofread email from Verizon than a leaked document that may or may not be the final version.
