WTF This site and it's downtime and crazy double posting problems is driving me nuts. starting to think this forum is all part of AT&Fail's networks.

my contact - works in VZ corp training - says she'll have phone on Monday and I can come and play w/ it. I'm sure we'll have more pics/vids before then, but if not I will take as many as my omnia and winmo 6.5 can handle!!

But when do you get to see the phone ;)

I think you might be confused here. I know where that is your looking at. You are 4 months from your contract end date so you are eligible for an upgrade on NE2. Which on NE2 you are eligible 20 months in.

I have 5 months till 10/05/2010 which is my 20 months in my contact end date is 2/05/2011 so I'm not eligible for anything till 10/05/2010 :(

Hmm maybe I am confused.. my NE2 date is 9/30/10.. but if I go into "Upgrade Now", even though it says "If you prefer, you can upgrade today at full retail price" I am still allowed to get all the listed phones at the new contract price, not retail, for example.. the Droid is $200, Storm 2 is $100...

That's what I'm planning on doing, but I had to talk to a co-worker about it first since we are not allowed to have camera phones at work... (and I know I won't be able to resist turning it on and playing with it). :p

Same here. I can have a camera phone at work but I will try to charge the phone first before playing with it. Will be tough but want to follow the guide on this one since it is my first smart phone. :D

Ok, here's an issue I'm dealing with. I've been with Verizon for a good 5-6 years and was expecting my $100 NE2 which has been available to me since about Oct. or Nov. of '09 and my contract has been up since Feb. I looked online yesterday and it was only offering me $50 for my NE2 upgrade. I think it's because I am currently running on a low cost plan (minimum minutes, texts, and data package) that falls below a certain cutoff point. My problem is I've been running with 900 min., unlimited texts and date for a long time but I just switched my plan to a lower one 2-3 weeks ago because I wasn't useing my Voyager for internet, etc. anymore. I feel like I'm getting screwed out of half of my NE2 discount and I'm a longtime customer. Should I just switch my plan back to the unlimited BEFORE getting my Incredible. Will that bring my NE2 back to the $100 mark? Please Help. If this is too off topic, feel free to PM me. Thanks.

I apologize if this has already been answered, but I'm just a mere mortal trying to keep up with this thread!

As the recent article on Phandroid announced, 720p recording doesn't appear to be a stock feature. However, last I heard (before those pics were posted) it was rumored that 720p recording was still possible (maybe needs root to be unlocked). I think it was NTK who kept insisting that it would be part of the Incredible.

Has this changed or are people still thinking that 720p recording is possible after some rooting work is done?

Yeah, but you should be eligible for upgrade pricing, you just won't get your NE2 credit. After a full 12 months of a 2 year contract, you are eligible for upgrade pricing, so you can pick up the Incredible for 199.99.

So is it confirmed to have both 8GB internal storage, and include an 8GB microSD card? In the launch package it says 8GB microSD included, and anon bet his wife, and his 5k sq ft house that it has internal 8GB.....

Yes and no. 8gb internal, no SD card included

Is anyone else debating weather to get this phone or the EVO

Not even thinking about it...not crossing my mind. Nope not here.

Ok guys... hear me out OK?

RE: Pre-Ordering via Verizon.

This is the way to go for folks who aren't in a "rush" to get it, you pre-order, it comes to your door some time on the 29th. Could be 6pm or 7pm, or could be 8am. Maybe your un out to pick up some milk and they attempt to deliver it to you but you arent there to sign it. Now you have to wait ANOTHER day! haha. Bottom line is that people who are in this thread do not want to wait that long to get their hands on this baby. Other than that...what if your spanking new, shiny phone has a dead-pixel, or a loose battery? You have to work thru Verizon online to sort that out, new shipments may be delayed, it could take you a few weeks before you have your pristine new Incredible. Pass.

Lastly, you always have the option of trying to find the phone before the street date, if you pre-order, that is not a possibility. Ya never know if this thing leaks a few days early, not pre-ordering lets you have the ability to get this ahead of time!

This is my thought process regarding purchasing your Incredible, take it for what it's worth. Bottom line is that I will have mine 8:03am on the 29th.

You have a very optimistic view of how fast they can sell and activate the phone...3 min? Plus, I don't see why you couldn't cancel a pre-order.

Women you can't live with them... they can't pee standing up

Actually...not true. Sani-Fem Freshette F.U.D. at REI.com It works ;)

From the launce package

Installing!a!microSD(8GB pre-installed)
1.
Remove!the!back!cover.
2.
Locate!the!microSD!card!slot!on!the!
lower!left!part!of!the!exposed!panel.
3.
Insert!the!microSD!card!into!the!slot!
with!its!gold!contacts!facing!down!until!
it!clicks!into!place

I know it's in the launch package but I'm not sure we'll have to put it under the cover. Some specs have shown a side microSD slot and if you look at the pics of all the covers you can see the slot on the side. I'm hoping for that anyway.

This is where I'm at...Do I want to pre-order with VerizonWireless.com, Best Buy or just wait it out until the stores have it on the 29th...The simple fact that Verizon can't have their retail stores deal with hardware issues from the .com site is truly unacceptable customer service. Numerous other corporations look at the web site just as they do a retail store and will be glad to replace in store rather than mailing it back.

From my understanding you can return your phone to a Verizon store if you buy it online. Maybe the first 30 days you cannot but after that the Verizon store takes over.

I doubt there will be any dead pixels. Does not happen that much anymore.

I didn't think there was any problem with exchanging at the store either. The other option is to exchange online and from what I understand they send you a new phone w/ a prepaid mailer to send the old phone back so you're never w/o a phone and most stuff like that they handle overnight.

I'm planning to preorder.

It seems like the best way to figure out what you should do in this situation, is to see how more more you'd have to spend on a higher plan, and then see if it's worth it compared to the extra $50 for the NE2.
If you'd have to spend $40 more on your plan to get the extra $50 on the NE2, then I don't know if it's really worth the hassle for a net difference of $10 - however, if you only had to spend an extra $10 on the plan to get the $50, might be worth it to you.... :)

Any line that has an access fee of 44.99 or higher is eligible for an annual upgrade(This is any primary line accept for Indiv 450 talk for $39.99). The annual upgrade allows you to get a phone for the 2 year contract price but does not give you a credit towards a phone. Thats why some of you can only upgrade every 20months while some can upgrade once a year.

I hope this clears up some issues.

I would call them up and have them change your plan back and retro it so it looks like it never happened.

Kinda hard to keep up with what has been posted and what hasn't; so hopefully this hasn't been repeated too many times now.
Seems pocketnow.com uploaded a video to youtube yesterday of the HTC Desire running the new Sense UI. We've all seen this sort of thing before but since the Desire's horsepower closely resemble that of the Incredible, I found it mildly entertaining in a manner which borders voyeuristic.

I think someone posted a screen shot of the phone a couple pages back that showed the WVGA as the highest video recording on the phone right now.

Guys, sorry if this has already been answered. I don't have a Costco around where I live but I am a member over at Sam's Club. They have a wireless booth inside that handles all of the carriers I think. Does anyone know details of Sams Club carrying the Incredible? It would be nice to get free activation, instant rebate and accessory bundle like Costco. Just haven't heard any chatter about Sams.

For those who returned phones this month under the 30 day plan...i would suggest double checking your eligibility status to upgrade.

I just checked mine and it said eligible on 10/11:confused::mad::(

So i called them up and they were trying to tell me they never received the phone back...so i pointed them to my account where it had been received and credited back to my account on 3/27...

Even after it took 15 minutes on hold while they traced the ESN number to find the phone in the system.

I then said...while i have you on the phone cani upgrade to the HTC incredible today? She said sure....:eek::eek::eek:

But then once she tried to do it it failed...so i will have to wait till monday with the rest of you low life's:p:p
