Really? Huntersville here.
my contact - works in VZ corp training - says she'll have phone on Monday and I can come and play w/ it. I'm sure we'll have more pics/vids before then, but if not I will take as many as my omnia and winmo 6.5 can handle!!
I think you might be confused here. I know where that is your looking at. You are 4 months from your contract end date so you are eligible for an upgrade on NE2. Which on NE2 you are eligible 20 months in.
I have 5 months till 10/05/2010 which is my 20 months in my contact end date is 2/05/2011 so I'm not eligible for anything till 10/05/2010![]()
That's what I'm planning on doing, but I had to talk to a co-worker about it first since we are not allowed to have camera phones at work... (and I know I won't be able to resist turning it on and playing with it).![]()
But when do you get to see the phone![]()
she said monday. she actually gets it. as in she takes it home.
I apologize if this has already been answered, but I'm just a mere mortal trying to keep up with this thread!
As the recent article on Phandroid announced, 720p recording doesn't appear to be a stock feature. However, last I heard (before those pics were posted) it was rumored that 720p recording was still possible (maybe needs root to be unlocked). I think it was NTK who kept insisting that it would be part of the Incredible.
Has this changed or are people still thinking that 720p recording is possible after some rooting work is done?

look 1-3 pages back.Any idea what resolution you can get on the incredible's video out? Sorry if it's already been discussed.
So is it confirmed to have both 8GB internal storage, and include an 8GB microSD card? In the launch package it says 8GB microSD included, and anon bet his wife, and his 5k sq ft house that it has internal 8GB.....
Is anyone else debating weather to get this phone or the EVO
Ok guys... hear me out OK?
RE: Pre-Ordering via Verizon.
This is the way to go for folks who aren't in a "rush" to get it, you pre-order, it comes to your door some time on the 29th. Could be 6pm or 7pm, or could be 8am. Maybe your un out to pick up some milk and they attempt to deliver it to you but you arent there to sign it. Now you have to wait ANOTHER day! haha. Bottom line is that people who are in this thread do not want to wait that long to get their hands on this baby. Other than that...what if your spanking new, shiny phone has a dead-pixel, or a loose battery? You have to work thru Verizon online to sort that out, new shipments may be delayed, it could take you a few weeks before you have your pristine new Incredible. Pass.
Lastly, you always have the option of trying to find the phone before the street date, if you pre-order, that is not a possibility. Ya never know if this thing leaks a few days early, not pre-ordering lets you have the ability to get this ahead of time!
This is my thought process regarding purchasing your Incredible, take it for what it's worth. Bottom line is that I will have mine 8:03am on the 29th.

This is where I'm at...Do I want to pre-order with VerizonWireless.com, Best Buy or just wait it out until the stores have it on the 29th...The simple fact that Verizon can't have their retail stores deal with hardware issues from the .com site is truly unacceptable customer service. Numerous other corporations look at the web site just as they do a retail store and will be glad to replace in store rather than mailing it back.
From my understanding you can return your phone to a Verizon store if you buy it online. Maybe the first 30 days you cannot but after that the Verizon store takes over.
I doubt there will be any dead pixels. Does not happen that much anymore.
Ok, here's an issue I'm dealing with. I've been with Verizon for a good 5-6 years and was expecting my $100 NE2 which has been available to me since about Oct. or Nov. of '09 and my contract has been up since Feb. I looked online yesterday and it was only offering me $50 for my NE2 upgrade. I think it's because I am currently running on a low cost plan (minimum minutes, texts, and data package) that falls below a certain cutoff point. My problem is I've been running with 900 min., unlimited texts and date for a long time but I just switched my plan to a lower one 2-3 weeks ago because I wasn't useing my Voyager for internet, etc. anymore. I feel like I'm getting screwed out of half of my NE2 discount and I'm a longtime customer. Should I just switch my plan back to the unlimited BEFORE getting my Incredible. Will that bring my NE2 back to the $100 mark? Please Help. If this is too off topic, feel free to PM me. Thanks.
Hmm maybe I am confused.. my NE2 date is 9/30/10.. but if I go into "Upgrade Now", even though it says "If you prefer, you can upgrade today at full retail price" I am still allowed to get all the listed phones at the new contract price, not retail, for example.. the Droid is $200, Storm 2 is $100...
