Wow, you got lucky.

I just called 611 and talked with a nice woman named Belinda. My NE2 isn't due until August sometime. I asked about getting it moved up and she said that if it was within a month they could work something out, but August was too far away. I did double check with her that despite not completing my current 2 yr contract, that I could buy the DI at the 2 yr contract price ($200) - confirmed.

I think I'll go your route and see if I can't plead my case via email. After all, I've been non-problem customer of theirs since 2001 and I currently give them $160 of my money every month :mad: for a family share plan.

Every Android phone has the notification bar that slides down. But you won't have the 3D Launcher unless you turn Sense of completely. You'll get the same type of list but it won't have the rolling look the N1 has.
 
Does anyone know if I will be able to use the notification for my Hotmail account with the Sense UI ? I get 3 other accounts pushed to that one.

this is the truth.

I walked into 2(of 2) bb stores and the reps there had NO CLUE what an INC was let alone it was gonna be sold by them.

I bet I call or walk into 10 more and have the same or 90% same result.

I don't think you can use your NE2 on a 1 year plan anyway.

But you can always use those coupons for accessories.

I have two questions:

1. Can we pre-order the device (either via telephone/internet or in-store visit) to pick-up in a VZW store on the 29th?
2. Will we be able to pick up in a VZW store on the 29th

Well I've been enrolled for 2 years, so after 2 years I should be entitled to using that discount towards a m2m, 1 year, or 2 year contract. My Choice. Now, not being enrolled afterwards isnt my concern. I'm available for a discount now because I've been a loyal and paying cust for 2 years.

Saddly, its not new every 2, its NFSUF2M or new for signing up for 2 more.

Eh, I know NKT said it didn't have the MT "bug", but I'm really not so sure. Unless HTC decided to go with a different input sensor than on the N1 and Desire, it still has it. But who knows. We'll find out for sure soon enough.
 
also all phones look a lot nicer in person. this phone looks really good in pictures, other phone's don't at all even the droid and nexus one so this phone will be that nice i think.

Edit: No...I may be wrong. Maybe it is just a reflection from the flash. Because in the first picture the buttons aren't glowing but the trackpad apears to be. So, if it were illuminating along with the other buttons it would be dark when they are dark.

I see your edit but to pretty much put a end on the track pad lighting up look at this pic i found earlier, taken in the dark, the other buttons are bright and you cant really see the track pad. what you do see looks like a flash reflection

Would of been cool tho...

Review sites get the phones a week or 2 before they come out. Usually they actually have to wait a few days to post their reviews, too.
 
I wonder how hard it will be to remove that VZW logo on the front of the phone without scratching it. I hate how phone companies put such gawdy branding on their phones.

480x800 will ALWAYS be the same height and width when you size it to a 3.7" screen. ALWAYS! I'm a graphic designer, trust me.

Secondly, the screen on the Motorola DROID is NOT 480x800. It's resolution is 480x854. That is 54 more pixels high. So, that makes it more narrow and longer when stretched to 3.7". Trust me. The screen on the Incredible and the Nexus one are exactly the same size.

i think the general thought is some reviewers have gotten the phones in hand, but have some sort of agreement to wait until the 18th/19th to post their reviews. Not sure why, but that's what most seem to think.

I would think HTC would want these reviews coming out BEFORE its released to get even more people hyped up.....
