just wanted to pop in and say a few words... i recently laid to rest my Evo 4G, contract with sprint was up and didn't want to shell out the bucks for a new agreement (*ball and chain*)... so, after numerous attempts to flash my beloved phone to boost, i have gone the route of purchasing a new phone... i have used boost before and have been pleased with their service, so after browsing all my phone options, (price, price and, uh, price), i have gone with the Venice... i have had it for a week now and i have to say i'm impressed... light weight, quick, responsive, good sound, nice call quality... i know this isn't a top-o-the-line phone but it would be awesome to see a dev take a stab at it and get us a custom rom... i am waiting to root for a couple of reasons... 1st, not having a custom rom to flash to or mods of any kind... second, it isn't clear to me yet that if rooted, the stock kernel allows overclocking... i know the stock on the Evo did not... anyhow, overall a very nice phone in my opinion... thanks for listening...
