Help "Into Now" consumed half the LG Motion battery

AppleUser

Android Enthusiast
My LG Motion became warm, and the low battery warning area indicated that "Into Now" consumed over 50% of the battery power. I don't use this App.

I tried stopping it from running by the STOP command in Apps, but when going back to the "Running" list, it still shows there.

From where did "Into Now" come, and how does one eliminate it completely ?

Which Apps do most users have "running" ?

How does one tell if too many Apps are running ?

I believed you can disable it in apps even if your unrooted :) that's what I did anyways. You can't uninstall it unless your rooted but you can still disable it :)

Please explain how to do permanently disable this (or other) Apps.

I was able to "stop" it, but won't it restart when the phone is rebooted ?

Just stop it under apps and tap disable. It'll stay disabled on a reboot

FORCE STOP is seen, but not "disable". This seems to imply that if the phone is rebooted, such as removing the battery to install a new charged one, that the App will start again.

Please confirm that "Force Stop" is the same as disabling forever unless the App is enabled ?

Some phones come with a lot of pre-installed bs, aka BLOATWARE. I suggest you remove all of that
nonsense to save battery, and space.

Note: You will need to be rooted to remove all of these bloat ware apps.

I suggest you install an app from the playstore that allows you to remove these bloatwares easily. Simply "force stopping" an app will not remove it, just stop it.

Just search something like root app delete in the playstore or something. Then use that app to delete the bloatwares

The list of bloatware apps that can be removed is here: http://androidforums.com/motion-4g-all-things-root/613241-guide-wip-apps-safe-remove.html

If you need any further assistance please don't hesitate to ask !

altho i do agree with you about rooting and uninstalling the bloat i was simply saing one doesnt need to to disable. try force stop, then right next to that should be disable. ill post screenshots in the next post( im on my pc right now :))

I can't find "disable" and when I force stop it, it starts running again after a few seconds. Cannot find "DELETE" but there is a "uninstall updates", but that simply makes it go back to the factory installed version.

Please describe where to find the DISABLE without rooting the phone.

Oh, I did download ROOT APP DELETE. Will try that next. Thank you !!! Is there a simple guide to using ROOT APP DELETE ?

well im sorry disable doesnt work for you. im not sure y it doesnt. maybe your version letter (c,d,e,f...) i tried it on 3 different motions with version f and they all worked with out root and stayed disabled after reboot. i guess the next thing to do is root and uninstall :) good luck with your endeavors :)

Worked like a charm for me, on f.

I have considered force stopping some apps that I do not need/use/want, but the phone gives me a message warning me that forcing the app could cause it to misbehave. That scares me enough that I have not forced stopped any of them. I am afraid to uninstall them, too.

force stopping is only going to stop them for the moment. depending on what you do it will restart eventually. you can freeze the apps with titanium backup or root uninstaller. this way if they make your phone mess up you can unfreeze them and your phone will go back to the way it was before you froze the app(s)
