Three dog night were said to have named themselves after the fact that a really cold night was spoken of by our aborigines as a three dog night. On cool nights they'd sleep with one dog for warmth, on cold nights two, and really cold nights, three...

I just saw a show on Nova about the creation of Australia and the flora and fauna. Really cool documentary. They didn't mention dingos being around that far back, but there were really large wombats, kangaroos and flat faced kangaroos etc. Supposedly about 2 meters tall!

Also saw a breed of dog that had stripes on its hind quarters like a tiger. Might have been in the dingo family, can't remember. They're now extinct.

They're not a dog, the only dogs here before the white invasion were dingos which as I mentioned came here with the aborigines. The animal you're referring to was the thylacine or Tasmanian tiger, a carnivorous marsupial related to the Tasmanian devil, only occurring in Tasmania by the time white man arrived. If I recall, dingos didn't make it to Tasmania and were the probable cause of the thylacine's extinction on the mainland. Thylacines were hunted into extinction in Tasmania by whites as they were thought to be a predation risk to the early settlers' flocks of sheep.

Thats it, they were the Thylacines. They mentioned that they were hunted because they killed the sheep. In actuality it was the local humans, not the Thylacines killing the sheep. They showed black and white film of the last living one. It's a shame they're gone, looked really cool. :(

I hate it when 8am and 8pm look the same... I woke up from a nap, thinking I was late to work. -.-

Conflicted. Is it wrong to download an album that a person purchases, and the only reason it hasn't shipped yet is because the label and band no longer see eye to eye?

Hypothetically of course. ;)

I don't believe so, as long as you buy it when it does become available. I've downloaded a few albums and either deleted them if I didn't like them or bought them if I did...
