Root Bluetooth Fix for Jellybean roms???

Cm10.1 beta 4 was what i was looking for...bluetooth works like a charm! In my opinion it has everything the nighlites have except for pie. I can deal with the minor chops in some animations, I'll be using this rom for quite a while!

Just thought it could be done since they're both 4.2.2

Then I'm mistaken. I thought it was 4.2.1 for some reason.

No idea how it works on one and not the other then, since the quatrimus builds were rolled up to official status (basically)

If im not mistaken this was the last build that had bluetooth working(4.2.2), then the cm10.1 preview came out, then the nightlies and it hasn't worked since this one(beta 4)

Pretty sure beta 4 has Tdm's kernel, not the standard CM one, check if you can overclock.

Either way I'm glad of TDM's earlier work. I'm just happy to have full Bluetooth functionality.

The cm kernel doesn't over clock but otherwise it's the same.

I'll get to Bluetooth eventually it's just that I'm very busy right now. Lots of work, vacation, sick kids, home improvement projects, a 4yo birthday, and half a dozen android projects...

No worries. You obviously have a lot on your plate. Just do what you can when you can. I'm grateful for all you have already done :D

Did some investigation into bluetooth issues today. I found a bunch of interesting stuff and bounced it off rmcc since I'm really busy. His response: "that's almost surely bad power management. The hostwake stuff is broken and it's killing the stack when entering early suspend. Common problem with 4.2, I'll take a look at it tonight/tomorrow."

I tried cm10.1 rc this morning (dirty flash) it let me connect to my bluetooth and I could disconnect and reconnect with no problem, but as soon as I made a call the audio switched to the phone and the bluetooth disconnected and would not reconnect!

Logcat please.

Was there a change to Bluetooth on the rc?

Our are you just looking for logcats off Bluetooth when it's actually acting up?

No change on the rc. But I just submitted a change to fix at least part of the issues:

https://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-kernel-iproj/commit/39fb0081cfbc6539e9afe8ada0ae20f2c1308408

This should prevent bluetooth from turning off and refusing to turn back on.

Try tomorrow's build, if there is one, and let me know how it works. All three projects (CM, AOKP, PAC) use the same kernel repo so use whichever you like.

Get me a logcat and repro steps for any issues you have.

Gotcha. I'm charging a bluetooth headset right now. I wish I would've saved a logcat from the other day when I was trying to sync my phone to my laptop. The screen turned off and from the logcat it was looking like the service thought it was disconnected so it was trying to reconnect to the hardware. Got a refused connection of sorts... then starting hammering failed java errors in loops. I'll post one as soon as I can get it to do it again.
