Root [Virgin Mobile] [VMOBI][BACKUP] 100% Stock Virgin Mobile Victory [07.04.2013]

g60, the day after I sent you the files my visual voicemail app update to a new version. It's pretty sweet! Maybe your phone will have it and will be included in your system pull ;)

Hi g60,

thank you for your upload about stock rom VMU, i've installed it but i can't activate wifi, is there any one have the same problem... voice and data works well...

What I did was make a backup using twrp, when it finished, delete the files, but keep the folders, unzip the files from what I quoted using 7zip into the computer, then move three unzipped files to the last folder off the backup string (it will be a date), restore that in twrp, and you should be good to go

I'll repost it later today sorry about that been making some changes to vmobi and forgot that sub domain was in use

Edit - Link updated

hi, this is my first time on this forum. i have this phone and made the mistake of flashing a rooted sprint rom when i first got it and now the touchscreen does not work. i tried flashing the rooted stock rom but am still having issues with the touchscreen even though it seems to boot normally otherwise. i also got an error when i flashed it saying something about an issue with the /tmp folder. any ideas what i should do to get it back to normal? is this some sort of kernel issue? or could there be some sort of touchscreen driver missing? any help would be appreciated! thanks in advance.

Did you make a backup before you flashed anything? if so just do a restore in your recovery, or try flashing this rom in recovery

no i did not make a backup, as i should have, and thats what my dilemma is. ive tried reflashing the stock rooted rom above with no success. i dont know if there is more files that need to be overwritten to get rid of all the sprint related files on the device right now. does anyone have a complete dump from a vm galaxy victory that could be compiled into a tar to be used in odin? ive had no look searching for one.

Hey guys,
I don't want to speak for g60madman here but just wanted to let the people asking for a stock rom know that he will be receiving a Virgin Mobile version of the Victory today and a new stock rom should follow thereafter if all goes right.

The current rom listed here was compiled as a result of myself and other users sending g60 our stock files. There are a few known issues in the build currently posted.

Again, I don't mean to speak for g60 I just didn't want the most recent posters here in the thread to think they were being ignored ;)

Thanks for being patient :D

Thanks for the vote of confidence! Right now my whole family is sick including myself. Once I get to feeling better I'll start cracking on it. My Wife even told me to go work on it but I'm just not up to it right now. Shoot I have even been home for 4 hours and the phone is still in the FedEx box, so that should tell you something

Can you please also post a stock recovery? Ikeep getting the OTA update and it's annoying because I get the notification for it but can't apply it..

Check to make sure its not MobileID. I have TWRP but eventually its stopped insisting on a Samsung factory update, leading me to believe it was either some apps or it finally succeeded.

Created backup of the stock ROM which can be restored through TWRP.

All this has changed from a flashable zip to a backup that needs to be restored using TWRP. It works perfectly and is 100% stock with no info on the ROM. I listed a Q/A in the OP. Just got tired of fighting the flashable zip, it would load but the radio would not work. My time will be better used on CyanogenMod anyways, I just wanted to have a 100% stock something for everyone to roll back on if need be.

As always enjoy :D

Thanks g60!!

Keep in mind that TWRP does not backup nor restore the modem. That will have to be restored seperately.

I've been extrenely busy lately so I'm not sure where that is available right now.

I believe its just system and boot that matter. If there is some one with the issues of bad modem let me know and I'll see what I can do about fixing them.

so it seems that twrp backups and cwm recovery backups are not compatible with each other? only reason i ask is because i have the cwm recovery on my phone because twrp is touchscreen based and and atm my touchscreen functionality is broken until i can reflash the correct rom. is there someway that a backup could also be made with cwm recovery as well? thanks in advance.
