yes sir! it's funny cause verizon.com loads easily, and so does the 'business' section of it. then you click on wireless and nothin

I got on like 45 minutes ago and it went straight to the moto driod "droid does" screen. I thought for sure they would drop the price even more to try to sell as many as possible before the Incredible drops.

I talked to a BB Mobile person yesterday and I asked them if it's possible the phones might come in earlier than the 29th. They said they couldn't sell before the release date of the 29th because there are "major fines for selling before release".

That doesn't mean BB couldn't have a midnight opening at select stores but I think it's VERY unlikely they sell before Verizon tells them they can, which is the 29th.

Well, BB pre-order is only in-store so unless you know a BB open at midnight I'd say you'll have to wait till opening. As for the 19th for VZW online - me, and i'll bet lots of other here will be furiously refreshing the VZW store page looking for the pre-order to come online and I hope it does at midnight. They want our money, we are ready to give it.
well maybe that lady was wrong. the 25th is real early. it would be real nice to pick up the phone on my day off!

This is crazy! You would think their servers could handle a few hundred ppl trying to get on the site. I can't even get to verizonwireless.com.

so how many people are checkin verizonwireless.com now haha...

It's up and running now, albeit very slowly. All it did was update it to reflect what has been on testman the past couple of days. No change of 4/19 - 4/18 despite the emails that some of you have said had the earlier date.

The 25th date originally was discussed because a contributor had the screenshots that inventory would be in place as of the 25th. I think since then, we've heard some of those same sources verify that, although you will be able to pre-order starting the 18th, actual delivery will be in-store on the 29th.

That looks amazing, but I immediately think of the fact that Verizon's "Unlimited" data plan is actually capped at 5 GB per month. I wonder how many Netflix videos it'd take for you to hit 5 GB... :(

It is unlimited (on the phone) from my understanding. Their broadband cards are limited at 5gb.

Me either. Also I was able to get into My Verizon somehow but none of my information is available. Maybe they are doing system maintenance?
This would make the most sense. Probably preparing for the server load they're going to be handling come Monday at 12 AM.

Dam, My NE 2 is like a year away.. imma have to chip down 600 bucks for it.. Oh well..

If you're a year into your contact you should be able to get the NE2 +$20 discount (i.e. $20 more than your full NE2 would be). So you should still be able to get it for $319 and should be able to get the $100 mir as well.

I still think it's pointless to preorder this phone, but that's just me personally. IMO you're all making way too big a deal out of it. No one ran out of the Droid, and that was MUCH more heavily marketed than the Incredible for weeks. I don't think any stores were even running low. I have complete confidence that I, or any of you, will be able to walk into your local Verizon store at any time on the 29th and buy this phone, as well as for the next few weeks. But hey, thats just my opinion.

I'm going to pre-order just in case. My reasoning is a bit different-- Because the Droid was so heavily marketed, they probably had a much greater inventory expecting a lot of sales. Since the Incredible has been so hush hush until a few days ago, they might not be expecting as many people rushing out to get it.

I do get that in the grand scheme of things, the people who even know about the Incredible is few, and therefore we should have no problems walking into Verizon on the 29th and getting one, but I just don't want to take any chances after having been wanting this phone since November.

First of all, THANK YOU ntbeachnc!! This worked for me, and my NE2 date was the end of October, 2010!

Next, I've called *611 several times, and I got the same response as others (that if it was only a month or 6 weeks, they would do it, but that my date was too far away to move). This time, I emailed VZW through the "contact us" link on the web site. Today I got the following response confirming that VZW moved my NE2 from the end of october to 4/19/2010:

"Dear xxxxxx xxxxxx,

Good afternoon! It's always a joy to hear from long time loyal customers, especially those that have stayed with us as long as you have. I completely understand your need to purchase an updated device, and our phone line up has some great phones with amazing capabilities. My name is Amanda and I would be more than happy to assist you.

After reviewing your account I am pleased to inform you that we have changed your New Every Two upgrade date to 04/19/2010. You will be able to preorder the Droid Incredible on 04/19/2010 and use your New Every Two Discount in the amount of $100.00 as well. This change was made effective immediately, so it should only be about 24 hours before you can view the change online.

xxxxxx, I want to thank you for being the most important part of Verizon Wireless and for the great opportunity to assist you today. Your loyalty is greatly appreciated and I was glad to be able to change the upgrade date to better fit your needs. Should you have additional questions or concerns in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us by replying to this email.

Have a wonderful day!

Sincerely,

Amanda

Of course, this probably won't work every time, but it seems like if you ask via email, there is a much better chance that VZW will change your NE2 date. Good luck!

WTF!? My NE2 is only 6 weeks from the Incredible release date (I'm up mid-June) and they won't budge for me. How did you accomplish your feat?!

After being denied via *611 yesterday I emailed them last night. Today I got both a call and follow up email from a Rachael at Verizon. Another "NOPE" response:

Good afternoon, this is Rachael again and it was wonderful to speak to you today. As we discussed, we are able to offer you the Annual Upgrade now, but for the New Every Two discount, you would need to wait till June 18, 2010. I apologize for the inconvenience, but we appreciate your referral to Verizon Wireless.

Thank you for contacting us regarding your upgrade concern and for being the most important part of Verizon Wireless. I hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Sincerely,

Rachael

Honestly, this kind of nonsensical and preferential treatment is yet another good reason I'm interested in taking Sprint and the EVO for a test drive this summer.
