Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

" So you can pay $649 for a piece of plastic running stock or... You can wait :) #IO13Â*"

That was tweeted from @jetleigh. I have no idea who she is?

Turns out she is an HTCdev. Possibly hinting at GE HTC One? I'd still pick the S4 GE.

AHHHHHHH I hate Verizon grrrr
i got a new (used) phone yesterday and I turn it on and it bootloops for about 20 mins ... then when to reset it and found this phone had the factory recovery removed (WHYYYYYY would you even try that???) then had to call Verizon again and now I am waiting for a second replacement to replace my replacement... I have the best luck with phones *sigh*

Question for the broad knowledge of the watering hole... has anyone had experience repairing a car whose side curtain airbag and seat air bag deployed? Found a possible deal on a clean title wrecked vehicle but I'm a little leary about the repair costs of the airbag stuff. I know exactly what the cosmetic damage will cost as it is just door damage and I've had to do that before.

No idea, Geek. No doubt a body shop can give you a free estimate, though.

What about THIS phone concept?

Mukomelov Studio

The flexible screen pulls out of the main body for movies and video chat, etc. and then rolls right back up. The screens are double-layered so that they convert sunlight to energy... NO BATTERY REQUIRED!

You like it? I love the concept!

Uh oh, that sucks! I hope my replacement isn't messed up. Should arrive today.

This is the number one reason I won't buy CLN devices from Verizon, because clearly they don't actually do a full inspection/recertification of the phone. No excuse for something like that to make it to a customer.

You are probably looking at buying a new seat, that has the seat air bag installed. Or just doing without. The curtain air bag in the roof? If so, possibly the headliner, the part above your head depending on how it deployed. Some curtain air bags deploy from the A or windshield pillar, and it just involves the trim piece and the air bag.

You'll need the clockspring, in the steering wheel, and the ECU, that controls it all. Make sure and check the parts pricing, as the modules run $3-500, seats $500-2,000, air bags around $500-1,000.

I'd be handy to know what kind of car, make model and year. You can buy most of these parts used through car-part.com and pay an air bag specialists to put them in.

If you leave them out of the car, sometimes that violates state law. If it's just you driving it, usually no problem, but if you sell it, you can get in a pickle if it wasn't "fixed right".

If it's a rare, car, Porsche 917, etc, don't expect much used, it will be all dealer retail pricing. If it's a 1994 Plymouth Neon, lots of those out there.

Your mileage may vary.

Quiet in here today.

Who's excited about The Office finale tonight? I'm probably way more excited than any grown man should be.
