Didn't the announcement by Verizon state the phone would be $199 for a 2 yr contract after $100 MIR (or instant online rebate)? I think so.

Hi Guys, I Have a Question.

I was eligible for Upgrade April 1st. (after 2 year contract) With that price of 199.00$ How much will i end up paying? with Best Buy or Verizon Online?
 
For the Zagg shield.. I was only able to get a 30% off in my email, but every little bit counts right? I bought my shield last night so it's of no use to me now, so here it is for whoever gets it first (email said it can only be used once): is7fjbzj
 
oh yeah i forgot...some tester that nkt or anonimac knew was gonna get a phone and hook us up late last week, but it didn't happen. hopes its a video of awesomeness!

Do you know if the sheild has a texture, or will the screen remain having that "glassy" feel?

You'll end up paying $199 minus whatever your NE2 discount is...either $50 or $100 off. If you're on a plan of less than $69.99, it'll be $50 and the lowest family plan doesn't technically qualify. But you might get it bumped up if you call VZW CS.

Verizon online, you should be eligable for the NE2 discount of either 50 or 100$, to sheck just go the the VZW website a start a phone upgrade, look at something like the Moto droid and that will tell you what the NE2 discount is.
 
I'm gonna throw a really stupid question in here... Before the BIG NEWS lol.

My only exposure to anything smartphone-eque has been the iPod Touch, which has a glass screen I think? It seems to be indestructible as far as scratches go. Does the Incredible / similar smartphones have glass screens? I've heard a lot about screen protectors, and I'd rather not deal with worrying about scratches..
 
This is the first one I've ordered.. never tried one before. But from what I understand from this thread, there is a slight texture to it.

Yeah, the Incredible's screen will be pretty much just as strong.

With the Invisible Shield it won't retain an entirely glassy feel. It'll have a little more tacky feel to it and I've found slight orange peel texture. From what I understand some of the other brands are less so. Check one of my previous posts in this thread for other brands. Please write and request they make screen protectors. They said the more requests they get, the quicker they'll make it. I included all the link in that post so it's super easy.
 
Wait so do you automatically get another discount for your NE2? Because my NE2 is eligible right now, but when I went to My Verizon and went to upgrade phone, it only showed me getting the $100 rebate offer off of the 2 year contract price. Will I get another discount? Because that would make it $99 and I have 2 $50 rebate cards from previous upgrades which would essentially make it free, if this is true.

When I upgraded to the LG Dare 20+ months ago it was a pretty well reviewed touch screen phone. Although it wasn't new technology, touch screen at the time was the 'hot' thing so I selected a new 2 year contract. Now as I look at upgrading to the Incredible I am starting to think that maybe a 1 year contract is a better choice because I have seen how fast technology has changed in the 20 month since I started using the Dare. It didn't take long for the Dare to be old news. Hopefully the Incredible has longer legs.
