Accessories HTC ONE accessories (discussion, user reviews)

I'd come across a couple of BLUETOOTH SIM devices,w/the only downside that you'd be toting another device around, which would more or less defeat the purpose........

Exactly. I would rather just carry around another phone instead of that Bluetooth box.

I'm expecting delivery of the POETIC BORDERLINE Bumper Case tomorrow:

Amazon.com: Poetic Borderline Bumper Case for HTC One M7 Black/Gray(Update Version) (3 Year Manufacturer Warranty From Poetic): Cell Phones & Accessories

I'm sure it'll be a nice case, however,it's hard for me to imagine that the quality will match this BoxWave Bumper/Shell Case.

I'll be back here tomorrow to eat my words. :p :D

Back w/the POETIC Bumper Case, just like the one reviewed here @ PHANDROID:

Review: HTC One Poetic Borderline bumper case

I'm in disagreement w/Chris on the opinion that it's somewhat sub-par in build quality.I have no issues w/that @ all, however, this is the earlier version which was not properly provisioned for the power button I/R BLASTER functions.

I ordered it anyway, knowing this ahead of time,to determine if simply cutting out the area covering the power button/IR BLASTER would alleviate this issue.

YES: I was able to remove the material covering the IR BLASTER;no problem, accomplished this quite easily & cleanly w/an X-ACTO knife, which enabled this to work.

&

NO-ish: The power button is still quite difficult to depress, unless one happens to sport long fingernails.

All other cutouts for USB Port/3.5mm audio out/mics are spot-on,volume rocker is covered & works well, better than stock w/o a case.

This case does not have a back shell,it is merely a bumper guard.
The fit is nice & paired up w/a body skin should provide enough protection for those instances when minimal protection is required.

I'd recommend it,but,STRONGLY suggest waiting for the updated/latest version, which should address the Power Button/IR BLASTER issues. However, even this can be overcome w/a proximity sensor app in the GOOGLE PLAY STORE & material removal described above.

AFAIK,an updated version of this case is still not available for order direct from POETIC:

HTC One M7

Thanks. Would you mind posting some info when you get it?

Got mine today, Gray on Clear, looks pretty good on the silver and definitely fits nicely. I also have one of these:

Amazon.com: Hyperion HTC One TPU Case and Screen Protector (Compatible with Sprint HTC One, T-Mobile HTC One, and AT&T HTC One Phones) Hyperion Retail Packaging (Matte Smoke): Cell Phones & Accessories

I like the Poetic better, the volume rocker covers are easier to feel and the back is more of a plastic as opposed to TPU. Haven't noticed any glueing issues with the rubber siding and the rubber has a better feel/grip in my hand than the other case.

I did notice my bottom mic hole was smaller than the other case and wasn't exactly centered but, my gf said I still sound clear and fine so I will leave it alone.

Good luck, there seems to be a lot of nice cases out there.

So as I was back and forth about the back shield, yeah I'm over it I tore it off the other day and am ever so happy with just a front shield :)

Cool. Thanks for the update. Coincidently, I was also looking at that same Hyperion case if things didn't look too good with the Atmosphere. Think I'll place an order. Is it weird to order the case before you have the phone? :)

I'm trying to wait for my wife to decide on a phone so we can upgrade at the same time, but the black One is calling my name...

I purchased the Otterbox commuter before I even received the phone. My phones have always been in these with good results. I like it except for a couple of very small issues. The flap/cover for the usb charging port does not fully press in while not charging. Also I expected it to be all rubber, but it has a plastic cover(2 piece design) over the rubber. Makes it a little easier to slip out of hand more than just the rubber ones I have had on all my previous Blackberries. It looks great on the phone and offer decent protection. Just my 2 cents. Cheers

Figured I would give some of you guys a heads up.

I've been using the double dip flip case since I got my phone a few weeks back now and while I am very happy with it there seems to be a slight issue with it I can find.

The "soft touch" coating on the plastic parts is starting to come off. I haven't dropped the phone or anything and I take very good care of it. However I do remove the phone from the case a lot so it can be put in my car holder which has probably caused some of this.

I'm not too fussed either way as i love the functionality this case offers me but thought I would let u guys know.

My Mophie Juicepack for HTC One will be arriving today! Does anybody else have this yet? If not i'll come back and post a rundown and review of it if anyone is interested. :D

Looking forward to the review. I had one of these on my SGS III & it worked flawlessly, however, the fit on the top cap wasn't the best, as it was a bit loose. I've seen a couple of bloggers reviews stating that this has been addressed w/the ONE & hoping you'll be able to confirm this.

THX! :)

Just received my xtremeguard.. ($3.97 shipped to Canada)

Best money spent ever, infact I think I'll order a second one for backup.

I put the body protector on and adds a bit of grip to the phone and will protect it from scratches if I'm dumb enough to set it down on a bad surface.

I'm keep the screen protector as a backup since I paid $25 the day after release for a ghost armor matte anti glare protector which is amazing (but overpriced).

I recommend the xtremeguard bodyskin to anyone, I'll post back after I've gave it ample time to set and I try it with the HTC hard shell case.

I've given up on getting the official HTC dock since my cars Bluetooth will not play music and only calls

Just looking for a solid mounting option.. something that can hold an iPod touch 5th gen or my HTC one.

Not looking to spend a bunch of money if anyone knows any decent ones at a bargain let me knoe please

If listening to music is necessary in the car and the bluetooth wont do it why not get a cheap bluetooth adapter. I have the motorola t505 as my car has no bluetooth, it plays music fine thru my stereo and answers my calls as well. Just an option, good luck.

I looked at that but I decided on an iPod since it integrates with my stereo and I can change songs on my steering wheel

Just gotta remember to turn Bluetooth on my phone so my calls get routed in.

Yeah,I almost forgot about the kickstand......:D

Should be standard equipment,w/dual purpose as an FM antenna for wireless headset use.

I like that case it looks nice. So even if you have a full battery you can use this case and then does it start working when you get low? Or do you have to just put it on when battery is getting low? I saw they make this 15 dollar kickstand case wonder how good it is? I wanted the Seidio one but there expensive. I think someone mentioned this one has a kickstand does it? I don't remember seeing it when looking at pics on the website. Guess I'll look again.

Edit: Wow Amazon has the kickstand case for 7.99. I'm gonna get me and my boyfriend both one I think.

Just pre-ordered an extended battery case:

PowerGlider External Battery Case for HTC One (M7)

Was considering getting the MOPHIE version:

mophie juice pack

I'm not sure w/this one,but,w/the MOPHIE Case I had w/the S3,you could run off of the battery case first & then it would automatically switch to the phone battery once the case was depleted.

You could also go in reverse, run the phone down & then switch to the battery case, which was the mfgs. suggested SOP.

Contrary to the mfgs (MOPHIE) suggestion,I found the former method provided a longer battery life vs the latter.

I'LL post on how this particular case is configured next week,as delivery is slated for 6/2/13-6/4/13.

is the otterbox commuter or the casemate tough better for the htc one?

FWIW my last case mate became brittle and pieces started falling off after a year. I'm using the Trident Aegis case. It's sexy looking (pictures and videos do not do it justice), feels great, and seems to have a quality build.

I have an Otterbox Commuter but want a kickstand case. Anyone ever heard of this company? CellJewel.com - Cases - Hybrid Cases With Kick Stand for One/ M7

They make 2 cases with kickstand one is 5.99 which they told me is a bit bulkier than there other 9.99 case which they say is more sleeker. The 5.99 one they said is like an Otterbox which I have now. I'm gonna try the 9.99 one since I can't afford my favorite Seidio right now.

Got another desktop charging/syncing dock from eBAY:

New Charger for HTC One M7 Desktop Dock Cradle USB Black HTC One | eBay

This one,@ the time of purchase, was the least expensive I could find & is the same exact dock that is sold by countless others on AMAZON/e-BAY/etc.

EZOPower Sync Cradle Dock Charger w Detachable Case Plate for New HTC One M7 | eBay

Except for two minor differences:

1) Ships w/only a USB Cord,no A/C Outlet power plug.

2) The rubber feet on the bottom are flat,as opposed to rounded feet on the EZO model, which provides for a better grip on a desktop/table surface.Definitely not a big deal @ all unless you happen to be prone to knocking things over/off your workspace/nightstand/etc....

I suppose for the above mentioned differences, this is why it's a few $ less expensive vs. the other similar charging/syncing docks.

Bottom line: It works as advertised. :)
