Root My sister's phone is bricked. Help!

The phone is booting into recovery (3e) and this is what is says

looks like you messed with the fonts. Are you rooted? If you need to return the complete stock using the LG tool. I'm sure someone here can help you with that.

Well, I let the phone sit for a while and eventually the screen went away and booted normally. Wow this phone is buggy as hell. Can't believe LG would release such a phone.
