Battery life

With 4% battery left, I have gone 11 hours and 35 minutes on one charge. That's with wifi running along with Pandora. Using ds battery saver and power saver option on 4.1.2

Love to post screenshot but don't know how. Just wanted to sharenwith the group!

Download the Battery Stats app to take a screenshot. I downloaded these last night and I'm still checking it out. So far it's the best I've found since Comodo battery saver free stopped supporting KY device or vice versa. That one kept my battery life at optimum performance with absolutely no work on my part. Oh, Comodo! Why did you leave me!?

I am charging my phone only every other day with moderate use. :) Lasting more than a day is nice when you know your phone will not be dead cause you didn't charge it that night.

Are you using a regular or extended battery? And what rom are you on if you don't mind me asking?

GB27 Rooted with a couple mods, and am using DS battery saver and a setting change or 2. I have the stock battery and getting great battery times of more than a day (up to 2 days with light to moderate). With the slim Ace battery (2520 mAh which is the same size as the OEM) I can go even longer.

The real secret is what wastes power although the battery display doesn't really show it, your wireless networking (3g,4g, and WiFi) eats some power. I use DS battery Saver to make those sleep when the phone sleeps and have it set to wake the data connections once per hour for one min to check for email. It doesn't affect SMS which comes in on cellular 2g. Next ease up on the auto syncing widgets, and do you really need to check your email every 15 minutes. Keep 4g off unless you are streaming video on it.

Basically you have to decide on what is important, and that is to have the power being used when the phone is in your hand being used. As soon as you put it down and the screen goes off, you want the phone to sleep most everything except the cellular.

Wish I knew about that battery before getting the ankers :( oh well..I don't need 3 batteries for 1 phone lol

That is ok I get very good life from the stock battery too. The trick is to make things sleep when you put the phone down so it is keeping the power for when you are using it.

i rooted my phone, used set cpu to make a profile to limit the CPU speed to max 500MHZ when screen off and when power is less than 50%. used auto starts to remove as much apps from start up as possible (not system apps of course). removed unnecessary apps from the phone....noticed improvement in battery life :)
i only charge once a day, use texts, whatsapp a lot.....make few calls. good difference between now and before.

I am getting awesome battery life. Over 12 hours and at 68%. I have used this moderately during this time frame. I am on wftn rom. I have posted a Screenshot_2012-10-28-20-22-20 for all to see.

I just got off work, noticed that when I use my phone AS a phone with light Internet browsing, and not a media hub or entertainment device. I get GREAT battery life. I have a 2520mAh battery, running cm10.1, with the lightning zap kernel, max cpu set to 1000mhz.

My data connections sleep when the phone does and during that time they wake only twice an hour for one minute each time to check for mail etc. I have rid the phone of the garbage bloat apps I never use, and use the xposed module Greenify to hibernate apps that like to run in the background for no apparent reason, and they only run when I call them to. With me using the phone for just texts, phone calls, and light browsing (Google searching etc), I am at 29% battery after 2 days and 18 hours.

I use DS battery saver, the greenify module with the xposed framework. removed unneeded apps and widgets. and run powersave screen brightness when inside.
