they've also said the touchscreen is more responsive than the nexus! better keyboard typing and NO ISSUE with the bottom buttons! nice

How about they include some tissue when we all shed a tear when we open the BOX!!! Just completed my Pre Order (in San Diego). Also used the free overnight promotion code (FREEOVERNT) much easier than having to deal with VZ CS to refund the fee.
 
The Verizon site must be getting slammed right now. My My Verizon page is all messed up - errors all over the place.

The whole site is now completely useless...for me at least.
 
I wouldn't worry too much about the signal report. Most phone sites do perform actual testing nor look at the true signal reports. The bars on your phone are not a accurate representation.

In fact, HTC is very well known for having signal bars that report lower than average, but real testing always finds them to have a good signal strength.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. HTC has a fine radio.

yah... took me like 10 mins... going to bestbuy was like an eternity compared to this.... I got a few choice words for BB...

You wouldn't happen to be referring to the Eris would you? ::tap Home:: (nothing) ::tap Home harder:: (nothing) ::tap almost completely off the Home button and more than halfway onto the touch screen itself:: (Home screen pops up). ::sigh:: "Dammit." repeat 100000000x

I am in the same boat. Either that or they are doing maintenance. I would hope it is maintenance because they should be well equiped for a few thousand ppl logging into their accounts at the same time. Doesn't make any sense.

Do you have a Nationwide plan or ACII?
 
So I'm assuming everyone else is able to login and purchase this? I login and every data page to add a line or see my existing phones is blank and reports an error. Verizon isn't handling all these requests too well.

Seriously though, I tried to scratch both my storms and droids screen using razor blades, keys and a knife....no scratches. Don't panic everyone.... I attempted it before sending them back for replacement units.

Waste your money on screen protectors if you want, I own a vinyl shop and I won't even produce them because they are a waste and make your device look ugly. Take that for what it's worth.:p

That is fine. Except the screens may be hard enough to ressist scratching by the majority of metals. But not things like SiO2, which is not a jewel. You commonly find it in dirt and sand, as it is the oxide of Si, one of the most common elements on Earth. Particles of it are everywhere, and if you get the orientations right (which can happen after some time in a pocket), it will scratch. While I appreciate that you shared your experience, you are putting it forth as fact, which it is not. Whereas you may not have had scratching problems, it is known that even the Gorilla glass is easily scratched by things in dirt, like SiO2.

Look...you want to say you work in a vinyl shop as a credential, fine. But that does not qualify you to speak on the hardness of certain glasses and other things. If I wanted that information, I would probably go to a Materials Scientist. While I am not a materials scientist, I am a physicist and Chemcial engineer who works in a MatSci lab. I can tell you that there are relatively common compounds out there that will scratch your phone, and you telling other people that they will not is not helpful.

This may have been asked and answered, but here goes.

I saw Anon's post about the 802.11n WiFi and it was great news, but why on the HTC Incredible page on the Verizon site, under details does it say "WiFi capable"?

When I have seen that on Verizon phones in the past, it usually means that it's there but not activated? :confused:

i renewed my 2 year as an existing customer and got free overnight... wonder what the discrepencies are with people not automatically getting it.

Yeah, at the top of the page when I log in it says Free Overnight Delivery for all online orders. Not sure what's up with that.
 
site is actually working quicker than normal for me... Ill get out of there so you guys can get in faster....

Pre-orders placed online before 4pm local time on 4/28 will be delivered 4/29.
