Thought I would put in my vote for this very smooth, very quick, feature packed and deliciously dark ROM from XDA Dev CodeNil Kinda surprised it hasn't been posted previously but I did see mention of it in another thread which lead me to compare it to the more popular ROMs like PA.

This is the first ROM on my new Nexus 4 and I must say that I am quite pleased thus far after about a week.
I would also suggest the Faux kernel by faux123 He's got a pretty good history of creating kernels for quite a few devices.

When you flash the 03/09 version of the ROM, you must flash the GAPPS at the same time, otherwise you'll just boot to, and stay at, the Google logo. Not to worry though, power off and use the volume + - power button combo to get back into recovery and flash GAPPS.
Once you've booted up and let the phone settle down, reboot again and then proceed with restoring apps and personalizing.
So, without further delay:

It's SOOO nice being a Nexus 4 owner.

I tried E.L.E a while back, very feature laden iirc and I liked the Dark colour scheme.

Unfortunately, it didn't play nicely with some of my Tasker profiles so it was only on for a couple of days. :(

The latest nightlies for AOKP have added a
toggle for dark mode. Can't remember if you were an avid unicorn user :/

To OP, thanks for sharing. :)

Also, I was an avid user of faux kernels until I did an actual speed comparison of faux, franco, Aokp, trinity and paranoid androids color kernel. Amazingly the kernels that allowed over clocking were significantly slower than franco and PA at stock Mhz. So because of this I've started to strictly run franco. Coupled with his amazing kernel app, it's very impressive.
I'm not one of those benchmark whores but it was used to judge the speeds of these kernels. Regardless, all of these kernels are great and different things work well with different setups.

Just wanted to share my findings in case you wanted to mix other kernels with your rom. :D

I used it for about a month before the PA halo builds became available. It seemed less stable, as I had a good handful of occasions where I found my phone off/unresponsive, requiring a power+vol down to turn it back on. Pie and the quick settings toggles for it were a bit finicky and the menu seemed unorganized. My impression was that it looked pretty good and was very usable (otherwise I wouldn't have kept it so long), but it needed some polishing. It seems like there hasn't been an update yet, but last I heard, the developer said he would resume working on it.

Hmmm, maybe this is for another thread but I've been very happy with Llama. Love being able to see and shrink or grow my location based stuff directly on Google Maps.

@Fuzzy13
Thanks for the first hand analysis of those kernels. I just might have to give Franco a try. It was a toss up between that and Faux.
