Help JB update turned it into a Sprint phone

I bought the phone 2 days ago for Virgin Mobile. I installed the Jelly Bean update via Samsung's Simple Install thing. Worked fine..however, afterwards, all Virgin bloatware was replaced with Sprint bloatware and games.

Even the startup screen shows the "Sprint Now Network 4G" thing and plays the Spring music.

I was fine with that...however..

Now MMS messages don't work. If I send one, I don't get an error, but it is never delivered to the receiver. And when someone sends me a picture, it says "failed to download"

Any ideas? Or should I just return it and exchange it?

I figured it out. Turns out the Samsung Live Chat person gave me the link to the SPRINT Jelly Bean update. I found the VM one and re-did it. So in 3 days, my phone has been VM, then Sprint, now back to VM lol.

Not sure how to delete this thread. It doesn't give me the option in the Edit mode.

I think it's best to leave this thread in place for if anyone else has this same problem

As a matter of fact, I'll move this into the virgin mobile section where it would be better served.

Interesting though. I wonder if you could use that update, and activate a Sprint account, or vice versa
Use the VM update on a Sprint phone, and activate a VM account.
