Root So ... , who wants some Jellybeans?

No but I have helped on the forums over there cause I've installed ROMs on some V's cause my friends were too scared to cause they thought the directions were too complicated.I got another V i'm putting a ROM on today but I haven't done it in so long I had to look back on the threads over there.

Ah that's why anyway how about those jellybeans

thas funny bout the ov its one of the easiest ones to root, flash roms etc. it was my first smartphone
Yeah but it had been forever since I messed with one I had to reread how to nav the recovery menu lol.Anyways soon BSydz will have JB working for us and we can all be happy.

Great work man! Finally some good JB for triumph! I'll be flashing the PA first, and probably the PAC rom later this week. Can't wait to try it! Now that I have a Nexus 4 for my daily driver, I can flash whatever alpha roms I want on my triumph without fear of bricking. I'll let you know what problems I encounter.

I have a post on all the issues in the ROMs and how they flow.I was hoping anyone else would leave feed back on that thread to help with what issues people are having.

I'll search for that posting and leave my results there. Thanks for telling me. I didn't even read the posts in this thread because I wanted to flash it and give it a try.

It makes me sad that this phone's development is so close to dying completely. :(

I dunno, all we really need at this point is for Jellybean to be functional like the current Paranoid ICS rom BSyds did.

Not much needed for the triumph after that.

Thanks, I appreciate you helping us out. Do you have your kernel source anywhere? It's the CK kernel, right?

I looked and we don't have that line. I compared it with abens 2.6.35 kernel and our pmem is newer, and has a few extra lines, but is basically the same.

Do you guys still have issues with high end games rebooting the phone? I have fixed the GPU drivers in the kernel.

Also, I have searched and searched, but can't find a repo for any X6 ROMs. Do you know where I can find any? I would like to see some of the frameworks edits that you guys use to see if it will help us. I have gotten most of the factory stuff working, like phone drivers popping up when plugged in to a PC and building the FM server in /system/core. You should also check out my init and uevent files for the kernel, they may help you guys out, they are in device files in prebuilt.

That's all I got right now, any help is appreciated.

Hi BSydz, yes I released few kernels, for the kernel source you can find it here Dev-Host - cacingkalung-android_kernel_fih_msm7x30_5b.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service, I don't know if it will help. Sorry for some mess codes and not in github.
I think we don't have rebooting problem on 3d games. But I'll take a look your GPU driver code when I have time.
I don't know where the repo of our roms is. AFAIK aben rom source is from ardx and might be already synced. ardx's from Tj and edowar. Mostly we port roms, including me.
Our JB is much faster, more smooth, much more stable and much more battery life than ICS, only less memory free. I'll check out your init and uevent files, thanks a lot BSydz.

As long as we have BSydz around we will be good.I might be moving to MI so if I can see the rig he has and I got the money I might jump in

What do you mean exactly? That once JB is like ICS on our phones we don't need to do anything else with the phone DEV wise?

What's MI if you don't mind me asking?

It's Michigan. I moved there in early 2012, in an ill-fated, clandestine romance. Very bittersweet. But that's another thread...

So I think I'll Flash PAC today. My existing symlinked gapps and google now can be flashed here, I hope. I lost my original nandroid backup so long ago ; if I ever have a problem, I'll just flash CM7. ;-)

Who want a JB port on thier MT?Not me given the higher your update it kills batt way faster contrasted to Donut,CupCake,Ecliar,Froyo,And Gingerbread.Forementioned is solely stock and not all of that new crap(ics and jb)

I'm seeing better battery life on my current ICS ROM than I did on the GB ROM I had before that, or the stock Froyo.

Testes the new Vine app and only audio works but thats to be expected. Strangely enough, The Tinychat app works, the video works. why's that?

W-what? None of what you said made any sense. If you don't want Jellybean, then down install it. Also having the most recent updates doesn't change anything, where are you getting any of this?

well he is technically correct, the battery does seem to die quicker, though this is likely due to the phone magically not feeling like a piece of crap that doesn't really work right, so I would be angry at it and not want to uses it at all, but with the updates, suddenly it is a useful object and it gets used much more causing the battery to die faster

Actually the battery life on PA CM9 has been better than on CM7.It's really about what apps you use and how long you keep the screen on.Plus over time the more you charge a battery the less it can truly fully charge as battery cells don't live forever.Overcharging will kill you battery fast than any "update" can.

For anybody interested, I fixed the liblights, all that was needed was a to remove the const from the module properties. So now we are not using any crutches, no more borrowed hwcomposer and no more prebuilt liblights.

Thanks to tilal6991 for posting here:
"Crash in liblights and can be fixed by removing the const in the declaration of the module properties in lights.c."
