I'm confused? How are many of you getting the $229 1 year contract price? The Verizon website gives me this pricing for the 1 year contract...

Full Retail Price $529.99 Price with 1yr contract $369.99
Online Discount -100.00 Your Price $269.99

I've personally tried to get FedEx to allow me to pick up a phone from their warehose that was coming from Verizon. They told me that they weren't allowed to do that unless there was at least an ATTEMPT to deliver the phone first.

But the lady i talked to never really seemed too excited to help me out while i was on the phone so you may have better luck. I called my local FedEx warehouse to get that answer.

I went to Best Buy and reserved my Incredible. (Wanted to be able to pick it up, and didn't feel like dealing with a mail in rebate)...Then realized today, Does Best Buy even honor the New Every 2 discount? It was never mentioned, and I didn't even think about it...It's only 30 for me, that's not much but hell that's a Case for the phone....
Oh yeah, Does anybody know any details about Accessories? When and where available?

12. What does streaming video look like (i.e. youtube) as well as other sites that require Flash for video play (i.e. Vimeo, hulu, etc.). Youtube is HORRIBLE on the Storm 1... :mad:

Pre-ordered this morning. The confirmation page states it will ship on the 28th with overnight delivery. :(
 
I ordered my phone at 10:23 PST last night and then I started looking at everyone else's comments about their pre-order experience. Why do some people get free shipping (I did) while others don't? Just curious...

Thanks Crashumbc, I just had this fear that they don't really have them manufactured yet and wouldn't ship them unitl after the phone was released and they had time to develop one.

But now that we're seeing reviews pop up everywhere it's obvious that Verizon sent these phones to a few people and hopefully Zagg was on that list of people.

Any chance you could let us know when you get your shipping confirmation? I would love to have a protector sitting here waiting for the phone.

yeah i saw that in one of the reviews, it showed on the screen "mobile broadband connect" i wonder if thats tethering, and you have to pay for it. maybe nkt or anon can shed some light on this.

Dustin, I work for FedEx, and we have customers that ask us to hold stuff at the station (not sure what you mean by warehouse) for them all the time. You just need to call the FedEx station that services your area, the actual building your couriers come out of. If you talk to the customer service person at that station, tell them you would like them to hold your phone for you so you can pick it up whenever. It shouldn't be a problem at all. Like I said, we do this all the time. As a courier I get a note or two every morning before starting saying this address's package is a hold today. I take it into the customer service lady, and the people pick it up. Hope that helps.

Are you logged into my verizon when you look? If you just navigate to the phone on the site with out being logged it, it gives you the $269.99 price. Once I logged in the price changed to $229.99.
 
When you guys pre-ordered online, did you pay $199 or are you charged when the device ships?

Also I just called corporate sales and they told me its better if its done on the phone because their pre-orders are fulfilled from a different warehouse and it's guaranteed you'll get one this way...
 
Several reviews point out questionable build quality...a "plasticky" feel.

That's troubling if I'm going to be laying out $200 and be with this phone for the next two years...:(

The thing is it's not my NE2, it's just an allowed upgrade at the 2yr price. Plus I wasn't supposed to be eligible until 5/12, and they moved it to 4/29 so although I'd be getting the phone on 4/29 I'm not able to preorder because technically I'd be trying to upgrade on 4/19. See what I mean?

It might be a result of being a business parnter with Verizonand getting a discount on purchases and plans. I know I get a discount through my company and it had $229.99 for me.

So it might be $269.99 if you do not have a business discount.

If you are there before the couriers leave the building, then you will be able to get the package. Trust me, we are more than willing to give up any stops we can. Gives us more time during the day most of the time.

I preordered mine from Best Buy. From everything I asked the guy, the experience is just like a Verizon store, except that there is no mail-in rebate, and you have the OPTION of getting Best Buy's black tie service.
