Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] DroidSmith 1.7.3 Update and Full

I'm a little delayed on the full release of the update. Would you guys rather have a beta with a few annoyances or wait for 1.5.6 to be completed

I am reminded of noobVIII.II and CTMod3.80 with droidsmith. I mean, you just flash it, and everything just works great straight out of the box. Alternate kernel is nice. Add your own apps, enjoy a solid running little rom!! I will deffinatly always have a backup of this configuration.:)

EDIT:
Both wi-fi hotspot and tether work perfect.
hot spot is faster for me.

That's awesome. What are you thoughts on miern browser? Ilike it a lot and am thinking of making it the temporary defualt for DS. It will eventually be replaced by the cm7 browser that I'm working on. I know your a boat fan and
So am I, but honestly I like boat a little less with each update

P.S. Nood was my inspiration, but I wanted to keep things a little more gingerbread. I've never ran CT, but I hear a lot of good things about it

I hear you there! I still haven't found a browser I like 100%, although for me, One does come close. I always wanted to roll my own browser (actually more like my own spin of the AOSP browser) but as I'm lost at Java, I'll probably end up leaving that to those more skilled than I :o

I stay with boat for now just because it still works good. But the updates are making it worse, All I really want or need is a basic browser that flash will work properly with, (for me that is)

good things come to those who wait. and waiting is no big deal when phone is running smooth with your current version.

with that being said...lol...
hope you don't mind me throwing some ideas for 1.5.7 but i'll probably forget if i don't post now.

back button forces app to stop
integrated cpu control

I think I have 1.5.6 ready to go, and should be up tomorrow a mildly modified miren browser will replace the stock browser. I've also removed a little more unnecessary weight from the system

Integrated CPU control is on my road map to 1.6 along with a few other goodies.

Version 1.5.6 is up and ready to run. I replaced the sotck browser with Miren, and removed Throttling form services.jar. Init.d scripting has also ben revised. Sqlite3 added to xbin.

I plan for the next update to be version 1.6 if no further issues are identified, so it may be a while before the next update. I plan to integrate quickpanel settings, and some sort of cpu controll to the settings.apk Miren Browser will also see a little more work to make its appearance fit better with the rest of the rom. Please enjoy the new update and let me know if you have any issues.

Does nandroid manager work with this update??

Does nandroid manager work with this update??

I honestly do not know, but I doubt it. I downloaded the app from the play store and for some for some reason it did not pick up that busybox is installed. I have to say I'm not surprised. The warp is just that warped lol. Most utilities like rom manager, rom toolbox, and likely nandroid manager do not work. I can tell you that at least most of the features listed in nandroid manager work in TWRP recovery. If you know of a rom for the warp that nandroid manager works with, please let me know and ill find a way to get it to run on DroidSmith

It works on the latest update of warp OEM

Why SuperSU insted Open Source superuser? or original superuser? any advantage?

Back in the day there were some compatibility issues with the ddchains version of superuser, which had always been my preference. Those issues have since been resolved, but supersu has never given me any trouble. I was unaware that there is an open source version of SU, but now that I know I'll be looking into it for future releases. Thanks

Good news everyone. I was able to correct a small issue with busybody, and nandroid manager will work with the next release. I will also have CPU control integrated into the settings menu.
