I e-mailed OtterBox in hopes that they will have a Defender Series Case for the Incredible. We have one for my wife's IPhone and I love it!! No worries starting up the GPS and throwing it in a bag for an ATV trip.
I swear you could almost pitch the thing at a wall and it would keep it safe. LOL

When you call using Google Voice it routes through one of Google's call centers. I just find out which call center my GV number uses and add that to my Friends and Family and then I use no minutes at all.

Hey guys i just stopped by BB...and so far there has only been 1 pre-order there...i asked what the price would be for a 1 year contract and the lady said verizon doesn't do 1 year contracts anymore....she seemed kind of clueless and just tried to pressure me into getting the 2 year. Is it true that verizon doesn't do 1 contracts anymore though?

wait wait wait, how did you figure out which call center your GV was using? I mean, you're still having to purchase the 900 minute plan for the "Favorites" right? which is like $49.99
I guess you could cancel the texting (mms isnt too big a deal) but with the minutes and data, plus taxes and insurance you're looking at $90 still.

Nope. VZ does do 1yr contracts. Not sure if maybe that is a BB thing or the lady is full of ****. I'd try another BB or speak with her manager.

I was eligible for the NE2 upgrade starting July 8th (the 20 month mark). I e-mailed them, saying that I've been with them since 2003 and that I was upgrading from a regular phone with no data plan to the Incredible with the $30 data plan, and asked if they would be willing to move it up to April 29th so I could get the phone right away. They said yes.
People seem to have better luck via e-mail, but I've seen some people do it via calling too.

I am STILL on the fence between Droid and Incredible
Based on reviews, the Droid has much better battery life and radio reception. Three reviews point this out. Droid has LV overclock kernels, so just as fast as Snap (proven) and now that cool little gamepad add-on (Gamegripper) was released. Also, Droid gets even better battery life OC'd when using a lower voltage kernel.
Less than two weeks for definitive tests, since there will be plenty of Inc's to compare to Droid
Heck yeah!!!! it works PERFECTLY!! Sooo happy about that, and it's obviously an upgraded screen on the incredible. that alone makes it blow the N1 out of the water. AWESOME, thanks for the vid!

I did it calling, they moved my wife's NE2 up 10 months, so if they say no they cant, then they're lying. Or maybe it has to be a manager, everyone just needs to be nice to the reps so they can work their magic.

The car dock and desktop dock will be available after launch. Not sure how much longer but if you read the launch packet that's what it says.
This is the rubber case/holster setup that VZW is offering. Anyone have a clue who the vendor might be??
Its exactly the boring pedestrian stuff you'd expect from VZW's product management people, but for $29 it might have do until the better vendors get their cases to market.

You answered your own question. They didn't say it was great, but they surely didn't say it was crap. You get average talk/stand-by time from this 1300 battery in the Incredible.

I'm on a plan with 4 of my family members. So there are 5 of us total. I'm the only one with a smartphone so to keep me from using any minutes I use this approach so as a family we don't go over.

lol, i know that now after hours and hours have gone by since i've pre-ordered.
verizon won't let me change my shipping method and i didn't get the free overnight so i'm not sure what to do

There are only a couple cases on the website as of today,,,, there are still other cases that were shown in the launch guide , like a half black half red hard case.... hopefully they will be added soon along with the other accessories...
