For those wondering how the phone may feel... from Android Community review :)

The spec sheet may not look massively different from the Desire and the Nexus One, but in the hand the Incredible actually feels a pretty different beast. Actually slightly narrower and shorter than the Google-branded Nexus One, both phones weigh the same but – somehow – the Incredible feels lighter in the hand. Nonetheless, it feels well made and the design is pleasantly squared-off; the curiously ridged battery cover may look a little like a topographical map, but it’s certainly distinctive in among a crowd of touchscreen-centric smartphones.

I ordered the overnight priority shipping for $14.99(before 1030am). Anyone know what time fedex starts delivering?
Good Morning pogiepnoy -
Could you or anyone else please tell me how to get the priority shipping (delivered before 10:30am) next day. Thank-you.

hmmm, $99 with two year contract or $229 with 1 year contract. Decisions, decisions.

Normally I do 1 year contracts so I can can upgrade phones every year but that $99 price is tempting.

Anyone know for sure what the pricing policy is for early phone upgrades when you are 1 year into a two year contract? I know they let you upgrade phones every year but I'm not sure how the price normally is. Is it the 1 year contract price point? So basically, every year you get a new phone at 1 year contract price and just keep renewing your 2 year contract?

Ok...some questions (trying to piece together from myself and others on this thread)

1. Keyboard and Multi-touch - if you hold down the shift key WHILE using your other hand to touch a letter...will you get a capital letter? Like a real keyboard (that's true multitouch)

2. The Dots from the multi-touch - does it really look that bad?!?!?!

3. Signal Strength - It seems to fluctuate - is it just notifying you of that or is it really happening

4. Is it wireless N? (I realize you can't test this unless you have an N wireless router around and no G device is on it)

5. Does it come with a MicroSD?

6. Can app use the 8gb onboard (we have seen review saying no....like can Raging Thunder 2 use it as an example...after you have the app it downloads about 20 meg to your microsd card...can it do that to the nand?)

7. Is it really plasticy? Does it really feel cheap?

8. Someone mentioned in this thread that it does not have a Video player...can you confirm that?

9. Hard to test this one...but if you can I haven't seen it anywhere....does the music player notice the compilation tag (grouping dj mixes and compilation albums together so the artists don't show up in your artist list)

10. Can you do that screen responsiveness test?

Did I leave anything out folks?

Yes:

11. Is it possible to blue tooth dial with just my ear piece?

I understand the desire to have everyone order online, they don't get all the same plan options, and may make some changes...If you actually speak to customer service they do everything they can to keep you in your old plan (if you get a good rep). They would be stupid to deny users to order over the phone, that would just result in lost sales.

Oh I agree. I was stating that it's funny that all of the graphics we have seen from them state that you can pre-order, but online only.

That begs the question: If they are pre-ordering over the phone, will they be doing the same in stores next?

anyone on a family plan with unlimited texting?

if so, did it try and get you to add a 250 text plan for $4.99 when pre-ordering??

it did this to me but the rep said it was because it's a pre-order and my unlimited texts should roll right over when i get the incredible

Yes, I'm on a family plan with unlimited text and it did try to get me to add the 250 text plan. It made me nervous, because I don't know about you, but I can do 250 texts in a day or 2..

Anyway, I read on here to ignore it, and my original plan will roll over. It makes me nervous-- but I will just check my plan online when I activate my Incredible next week. If I notice I am paying per text, I will get on the phone with Verizon ASAP to fix it.

Can anyone tell me what the advantage is of pre-oredering online as opposed to walking into the store and buying it on the 29th? Is it just that you are making sure you get one or is there something else?

I'll take the questions I've gotten so far and start a new topic with the answers.

May be back to check for new stuff before I go get the phone but can't be sure.

Could you check and see if you can use stock android as well as sense. Like you can with the eris or hero?

Thanks

I kind of wish Verizon would adopt the Site to Store policy for ordering...I think it would benefit the company better for accessories ect

I can't stand BGR for the most part but if this phone really looks like this I may be foreseeing a return in its imminent future

That image is taken with a flash at an oblique angle. My Storm is the same way, and you CAN NOT see them unless it is under extreme lighting conditions, or done in a way that fanbois take pictures to shine people off.

I know comparing the Storm to the Incredible is like comparing a Yugo to a Viper, but it's the same capacitive screen technology I do believe.

@ w0rdie Is there a way to Turn off Sense UI and if so is there the nexus live wallpapers and the rest of them that are included in stock android 2.1.

Also I was bummed to hear that the notification light is VERY small and only has two colors..Not a deal breaker but I hoped for different light colors for different alerts.
This please.

I believe NKT already said you could.
Really? How? Under settings or something?

Just spoke with CZW rep (very nice and helpful) and she confirmed that I would need this $5.00 / month txt feature afterall......on top of the $29.99 data plan.

I'm coming from a dumb phone and have turned off texting because I kept getting junk texts. Do I have to pay $5 for texting, or since I have Google Voice, will that be sufficient? i want to begin texting, but don't know if I will use it that often.

Thanks to everyone for all the information on the Incredible here on this thread. I've learned a lot from your posts. I hope I can figure out this phone (I'm a phone technology challenged user) when I get it. But I'm sure I'll be able to find the answers here.

So in a couple hours I'll get a bit of hands on time with the Incredible... are there any questions the reviews that have been posted have left unanswered? Perhaps I can help out...

Can you see how it does on websites that have flash embedded, not You Tube, but Hulu?

To me it's about the easiest way of getting the phone. I am at work early in the AM and I don't have time to drop by the Verizon store before work to pick it up.

Even though it says delivery by 3pm we get phones shipped to our office all the time (replacements, etc) and they always arrive between 8-10.

That means I don't have to worry about driving to a store to pick it up and potentially wait in line and then pay for it (and then mail in the rebate). I can wait a couple hours extra if needed and focus on getting my work caught up so that I can play with the phone over the course of the day and neglect my job....:D

For the accessories, I see that Verizon is not selling a Car Dock or a Desktop Dock.

Does anyone know if the Car Dock and Desktop Doc for the Nexus One will work with the DI?

Anyone know if Verizon gives you a Fedex tracking number after it is shipped? Never ordered online before.

I'm pretty sure they will email you a tracking number once the device ships...otherwise you can always check the status of your order and it will probably list it.

I was puzzled by this too, so I clicked the button to chat with a rep. She said she wasn't sure why the 250 text plan was even showing up but that it wasn't necessary with my family talk & text plan.

Hope this helps!
