Metro pcs BYOD

LG has said they won't be making next Nexus but I will probably end up buying a S4 and bringing it back to metro.

shhhhh theres one watching that will take offsense to that and is holding his nexus 4 device very close to his heart. he will rant about how his nexus 4 device is better than every1 and how his pre-paid plan is elite :D

lol somethings are better left unsaid but yea im not being bias here but samsung has everything any1 could want. and with that being said im super excited about this byod plan.

name one company that does better updates than lg, i bet you wont find one.

look at how quickly the lg mako gets updated. even on metro the motion has had what 5? updates instead of the 2 that the sgs3 has had. :D:D;):D

Lol true the esteem had like 4 all to fix issues and he can forget about the gx2 lol

mike ain't getting it he too poe! lol jk but before dishing out for the gs4 there are other options out there. for example the unlocked gs4 with just pure google android. Think about every single gsm phone on T-Mo or at&t you ever wanted..... suddenly the gs4 doesn't seem to be first on your list anymore :D and hey who cares we wanted options they gave it to us. I'm still debating on paying $500 for an unlocked T-mo Note 2 or getting an gs4. and yes i know bench mark test on gs4 ranked higher than a note 2 but who cares are we buying devices based on scores or personal preference????

Ill debate with you for a first ;) what updates are we talking about Lg updates or google? and which matters the most? a phone company that had to send 3 updates to fix a bug that should of been flawless in the first place or????? google firmware updates that to me should be pushed ota asap? all of us ex-esteemers know about the zva,zvb,zvc and last but not least zvd updates from lg we credit them for what? then 70% of those that rushed to get the esteem when they first got them had over heating issues......... luckily mine came with zvb and was one of few that has no issues. bottom line the esteem remains gingerbread and always will.... so which update are we talking about that matters?

the note 2 has exynos and barely has a working cm (they had a bug where sdcards werent readable for 2 months)

meanwhile qualcomm based samsungs... well the sgs4 already has nightlies on almost all carriers (while the international exynos based one doenst even have a booting build). so its more than just benchmarks.

and what other phone could compete? htc one? no sdcard and non removable battery yuck. xfone? its gunna be a midrange phone already talked about. xperia z? go read a review of it and how terrible the screen is and youll trade it for a zte just to get away :P

so it boils down to sgs3, sgs4, note 2 or waiting for note 3. with the hatred that exynos has gotten from teh community (its what sparked this whole cm wont support teh s4 scandal a few months ago) as much as the note has some cool features and a bigger screen i wont go near it. sure you can flash a recovery and use a stock rom, but lg motion/spirit owners can do that too. everyone wants aosp for long term support.
 
Cool bud i suppose my issue is i love samsung touchwiz simple and just works right so perhaps a metro branded gs4 or a T-Mo unlocked branded would be the solution Didn't realize that about the Note 2. But now thinking of it would be hard to carry such a huge phone on me all the time. friends of mine that have iphones tell me my gs3 is huge but they love the elegance of it and how thin it is. Bottom line ill take my time looking at the pros and cons of each phone and thanks for letting me know about them issues.

One more thing bout dem Hugh Jass screens.

Assuming a near same GG thickness, the bigger the screen, the less force it takes to crack them.

There are A LOT of S3's with cracked screens on Fleabay.

(Now, remarkably, a large number appear to still be fully functional but still... :rolleyes: )

Update guys the byod is limited for very few markets Vegas, Boston and others only a couple of markets for next week rest of the markets will see it in July, next month will be nice with most markets getting the phones plus the s4 :D
