has anyone ever tried using hdmi on the sequent?

I was looking in root explorer and found /dev/graphics/hdmi .

I haven't heard anything about slimport mhl or anything for this phone but I think that's gotta be there for something

I haven't done it because I don't have a cord and I'd like to see if someone who had one has tried

if someone with an mhl cord and a compatable display wanted to try they can but i dont have either... i cant promise you its there for a reason though, this is zte we're talking about, it may very well be there for absolutely no reason

No doesn't work I had an mhl cord from and older Samsung phone my s2 works but my warp sequent would not I was wondering my self if maybe there was an app I needed for it to work

what exactly is slim port? kuz i know we dont have a micro hdmi port... obviously, but it may support mhl with the correct software configuration. i just dont know what would make it work. the mhl should plug directly into the usb port though its just non functional kuz we dont know how to activate the function should it even be capable

  1. it needs the hardware (correct usb port etc etc)
  2. kernel has to have support for it

And I have learned with these devices, esp the cheapass OEMs like ZTE, Huawei, etc, and even lowed LG and Samsungs, just because its on the device (files that is) doesnt mean a thing. In most cases its left over shyt from a diff device or similar devices in their lineup with more features. ;)

Well said!:D

Don't know if you guys noticed the post in the non root section about this but I guess the zte does work with HDMI its an app that's hidden called qualcom settings. HDMI must be turned on from there!
