Haha this sort of could go into the random thought thread, but I wanted to dog a little deeper.. who all here would consider themselves a forum junkie of sorts?? I think I would consider myself one...

Also, I've realized that forums have out lasted traditional chat rooms, and have lived longer than they had, so my thought is, what's next? Other than facebook which is more for talking to people you already know. Is it that video chat stuff? My thought is no because of all of the, for lack of better terms, grossness that goes on there. Maybe group video chat? Only problem with that is you can't leave or you won't know what's being said.

So what do you think?
 
I'm afraid I am a forum junkie and go back to groups on usenet. Subjects of personal interest to me, I've never gone for a more general sort of "friends" on "facebook".

In terms of trends, media, etc. I'd say my favourite times were with hearme and later paltalk. A room where people could get together from say N America, Australia and UK and entertain one another by singing folk songs was at the time new and exciting. Probably the thing we all wanted then that I doubt would be possible even now would have been people playing together in different locations in real time...

But times change and I've changed.... I really wish I didn't spend as much time on Internet forums as I do and I always seem to get drawn to one or other...
 
Did I also mention I'm a recovering alcoholic, manic depressive, cereal murderer, closet voyeur with an eating disorder?

If video chat caught on more, I think I would disguise myself as I am an ugly dood :p

I think forums will continue to be the best means of chatting online about a common thing such as Android here.

And this is already getting derailed :eek:
 
Hahaha nah I think I truely enjoyed the replies on this thread :p that's the other thing with video chat I've noticed, not sure how much I'd enjoy seeing you guys :p no offense xD
 
Im without doubt a forum junkie lately lol.
Cant think how forums are gona evolve over time but il subscribe to this thread and get back when im in a thoughtful mood :) just now, im hungry :beer:
