Help Gaming performance?

TriumphLance

Hello considering getting this phone. Just wondering does it play games smoothly like asphalt 7 and modern combat series? Thanks

Does the low internal memory allow you to install the larger games?

Unfortunately... No. But people are working on the whole linking thing... I've tried but I'm terrible with it and I almost broke my phone. (thank God for nandroid backups) anyway, I think that there should be a solution here soon for it...

Gaming performance is amazing on this phone. With all the modifications I've done I can play asphalt 7 real racing 3 modern combat all with any lag m this is a powerhouse of a phone. I'm impressed.

I agree and haven't even tried the uncapped kernel

I'm especially impressed with Asphalt 7 performance. I think it's smoother than my iPad mini.. Must be those S4 cores

I have been messing around with it, and games play pretty darn well for a mid range phone. Especially with the uncapped kernal for the virgin mobile version by JupiterOne and the External 2 Internal app, gaming with this phone is pretty easy and nice.

Using 3DMark I got the following statistics (scores in brackets are the average score with other SPH-L300s, mine has the custom kernel):
Score - 6482 [5812]
Graphics - 6855 [6846]
Physics - 5445 [3955]
Graphics Test 1 - 31.8 FPS [31.7 FPS]
Graphics Test 2 - 28.1 FPS [28.1 FPS]
Physics test - 17.3 FPS [12.6 FPS]
The summary said, "Can't touch this! Not only is this device one of the most powerful available, but your score is also better than average."

For comparison purposes:
Samsung Galaxy S 4 score - 10827
Samsung Galaxy S 3 score - 5079

In Extreme mode:
Score - 3510 [3405]
Graphics - 3186 [3245]
Physics - 5450 [4291]
Graphics Test 1 - 18.4 FPS [18.5 FPS]
Graphics Test 2 - 11.4 FPS [11.4 FPS]
Physics test - 17.3 FPS [13.6 FPS]
The summary said, "Good news! This is one of the most powerful devices around and everything seems to be working normally."

For comparison purposes:
Samsung Galaxy S 4 score - 6648
Samsung Galaxy S 3 score - 3081

Keep in mind, I ran these tests as with normal phone use, as in I didn't remove unnecessary programs or anything and left stuff like tasker and dropsync (it was actually syncing in the time of the test) running, so it isn't like a "best case" test.

Hey guys, I've moved this thread over to the Victory (Virgin Mobile) all-things-root area for you.

Thanks!

And thank you!
