try restarting your router. are you using the extra add on for text i put in the second thread?
Yeah, I flashed the add on for the text. Also, I can't even make it as far as trying to connect to a wifi network. The wifi switch in the settings menu is stuck on Off. Trying to turn it on shows 'Turning wifi on...' and nothing more.

Wifi works great for me,but I did a manual edit for Hp4g text. I did a full wipe and factory reset as well. Oh and as far as the bookmarks to stock browser they did work stock... No great loss tho thanks to chrome and flashify.
ok, so that tells me the add on flash isnt working for you guys either..i mean it is..but its breaking wifi..
just reflash rom starting at step 1 again..and dont use the add ons

I installed this rom as you said, but afterwards I realized I didn't really want to start over, so I recovered my last setup but I did not wipe the system or cache. After the recovery, I see that the MetroPcs boot logo is still replaced with the Google one and that the battery lasts way longer than before!

Full wipe again? Does this version retain root after flash? Any change to the stock browser in regards to syncing with bookmarks? Thanks for humoring me. I love the first release.... Oh also have s this zipaligned?
If you're flashing over v1..then no full wipe needed. Does not Break root. Still working on zipalign. This is just something for you guys to check out while I make more improvements

Ahh OK. Thanks for the updates. I am a patient man myself...and do not utilize init.d....so I shall wait a bit longer. Thanks boneface.

I thought I saw a file over at xda that had a test file for init.d. it would create a log file if it works. I'll look for it after I flash the new version
ya that would be cool. ive only had nothing but bugs whenever ive used init.d scripts..so i dont really use them. but im sure others may like to so im trying to include it. ive asked my friend over at another device forum how he got it working for the roms he's made and he told me android kitchen just did everything for him..
i dont wanna use android kitchen or any other kitchen..ive been doing all this by hand going over every detail with a fine comb to get a great, fast, stable 100% working rom to you guys

Couple of issues I've found, superuser needed to be updated, couldn't find the init.d folder in etc, when trying the camera, if I tried to change to the top two camera modes the app crashes saying sorry Gallery stopped working.
According to Google Busybox needs to be installed. And what happened to Chrome?
I did a factory reset and wiped cache, flashed the ROM, logged in to Google, didn't allow it to backup or restore anything. Sideloaded root explorer. I didn't go through the root procedure, though.
One good thing is I got my 4G back. After my boot loop fiasco, I was stuck with EV.
But I will still use it, just change a few things like the launcher, I've been using Atom launcher but might try Apex this time around.
In not bashing your work, just giving feedback.

After I wrote this I double checked for busybox and it looks like I was wrong.
bah..i forgot to put the libs for the camera in the rom..my mistake. i have it working now and will update asap.
i took out chrome in the first version to make it slimmer..left it up to you guys if you wanted to install it or not.
did google tell you superuser needed to be updated? the rom is using the same su that motochopper installs.
did the rom give you a bootloop?
as far as initd folder not being there, it appears it never made it into the zip i uploaded..weird..ive been running the the test rom all day and its there.
ive been messing with other launchers to include also, looking at nova, apex, and adw. i will consider other options
fixing things right now..will upload asap

I don't know if you have tried it but the Google keyboard in the play store is a damn nice keyboard. I think it's much more responsive than swype.
The program suggestions are just for personal use, not really to be included in the ROM.
Although if you allow it, I might make up a zip, with my setup on your ROM.

well having to update su isnt a big deal. the version we used for root is still there and you can always update after rom is settled.
i included chrome, apex, and the new camera/gallery all working.
init.d isnt a boot img change..its just scripts used to modify kernel functions.
the initd test passed for me but i had to manually change permissions of init.d folder after reboot to rwxrwxrwx.
so far the latest update is working and im gonna sleep for a few hours while it uploads. ill post later this afternoon.
ill check out atom too..it looks pretty cool

thanks for the new stock i love the new camera thanx.
go back into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, then dalvik cach and reflash.
after you flash rom the first time, it will seem its suck on google logo for a few minutes. this is normal as the rom is rebuilding the cache

Can someone point to a forum for learning how to initiate init.d edits correctly? Thanks!
when put in correct folder, initd scripts will run at each bootup
1. Download the file from here: 00test.zip
2. Extract the file, you will get a file named 00test. DO NOT flash!
3. Paste it into /etc/init.d. If there is no init.d folder, most probably you DO NOT have init.d support. However, if you still wanna try, just create the folder named "init.d"
4. Change the permissions of the init.d folder and 00test into rwxrwxrwx.
5. Reboot.
6. If you see a file named Test.log in /data, you have init.d support.
