Root Booting into recovery????

Quick question about recovery?? ok lets say i flash a rom that will not allow booting...so now what do i do? do i have to use the unbrick method or is there a way to boot into recovery? i have checked all over google and motion 4g all things root..no info found

If you're in a boot loop you can connect your phone to your PC and execute:
adb reboot recovery

If he can get adb access.

But anyways, from powered, off:
press volume down + power and hold it until you see the confirmation screen.

Doing this gets me to factory hard reset....is that suppost to happen?
