Bear with me people, i am just catching up to the threads, been a busy morning checking PMs, and reported posts. Anyway...

maybe because those two are iPhone happy lately and Dan the man Hesse is taking a note from Stewie the cranky Jobs note on Adobe. lol

But in all seriousness, search both of those sites for Sprint and May 12, or just May 12 brings up nothing. Its mostly all iPhone. WTF?


Speaking of iPhone, I know i know, too much iPhone crap in one post, but the picture in this article had me laughing my butt off.

Actually their invitations were lost in a bar after the delivery guy went for a drink. It ended up in the hands of Apple and well payback is a bitch as they say. lol

I would have asked for more than $5000 for it. You know how much that would have fetched on ebay? or another news outlet

Thats why I think this was staged.
 
the thing is under cali law who ever the phone was sold to would of had to return it.
they paid 5k for a news story. a very popular one but a story none the less. the phone didnt even work.
 
Good point Novoken. If you find a cell phone you dont just look at it and say "hey this cell phone looks funny, oh is this the new iphone must be, and i will only sell it for $5,000 dollars." Com on man you will try to sell it to the highest bid and make you some money, that is the new iphone and you have it in your hands, man oh man apple would pay a lot to keep it out of the media, if it was "lost" or miss placed. They need to come up with a better story, we leaked the iphone out to get public reaction to see how they would take it. And I am sorry I know this is the EVO thread but apple needs to get a grip and a better phone if it want to compete or even come close to the EVO.

Also think about it a little more. People would kill for a story like this. To have this phone. We all know how tight nip Apple is when it comes to new devices. No one knew anything at all about the ipad. So how its this magical device is going to be sold for only 5k to a gadget site instead to a major news outlet?

And that phone looks like an old compaq presario laptop.

It clearly says "with support for WiMax". As we ALL know, Sprint is the only wireless 4G network with WiMax in the US, so why would Sprint release the Scorpion shortly after the EVO?

If it's the "super device" that Jackson had mentioned earlier in this thread, I'd say it'll be 3Q 2011, which would be right in line as the "replacement" for the EVO, on Sprint.

Its a shame that any yahoo can get online and "write" "articles". The third example today of complete crap.

I'm sure if you get the Evo, you'll still get the Scorpion if and when it comes out. You can do one of three things.

1. Play the waiting game. There is always something better next few months, year. Its called technology advancement.
2. Buy what you can afford now and always upgrade to the next bleeding edge version.
3. Don't buy into the specs game, focus on what you use it for and upgrade when it actually makes a real world difference.

Are you the type that sell your 300HP car just because they released a 310HP car?

I've been considering transferring to a university when I finish college in order to pursue journalism, but if writing a bunch of crap is so easy and gets you the attention, I should just quit school and start spouting nonsense.

Oh hai guyz, the EVO will have Super-Duper Ultimate Amoled screen, lulz.
 
Jackson - all - that makes perfect sense - not sure where the 3Q of this year came from.

Jackson - is the Scorpion a phone, or a tablet? Or, a really big phone, or a really small tablet?LOL

The funny thing? I drive a 2003 Saturn VUE. No interest in upgrading! HMMM VUE/EVO???? LOL
