ive looked on ebay, just search for 3.5mm video cable

I've posted this once before...is anyone reading it:confused: If you look at the video it shows the TV out cable plugged in at the min usb NOT the 3.5 jack. Look back on my posts and you will find the suppliers address. I believe this is the right connector although the supplier could not confirm it. It costs about $13. and I will return it if it doesn't work.
 
Couple of quick questions - if you can help me, wonderful, but if, not, no worries.

1) Would someone out there be able to steer me in the direction of the mammoth 200+ page Incredible owner's manual? I forgot what page it's on. :o

2) has anyone else out there who has pre-ordered their phone received any additional info (tracking info, phone availabilty) that ASSURES delivery on the 29th? Or is it just too early still?

Interestingly, this is not the same cable demonstrated in the HTC PR guy's video from WireFly. Not that the cable in the video plugs into that [oddly shaped] microUSB plug on the lower left side of the Incredible. This appears to be an HTC part (not the branding in the video). Clearly, it is not the same 3.5mm cable I earlier presumed it was.

...but, it is not this VZW cable, which we found in the Launch Package document:

I'm willing to bet that the TV out thumbnail is just a placeholder, that they don't actually have a real picture of it, so they put up somehting that's representative. The one that's ordered through VZW will most likely be the one shown in the WireFly video.

I don't know where the manual is but they way vz works is that when they ship they'll send you tracking info. Also, they didn't charge my account yet, which means they're waiting to do that until they ship.


how come your not online anymore? :( Btw, I'm seeing the yankees at anaheim tomorrow! :) :)

I ordered on the phone with a CSR.

Actually, this may be useful to anyone who has not ordered yet....

I got a snail mail letter from VZW a couple weeks ago saying because I was a long-term subscriber they would give me an extra $50 in addition to my NE2 if I upgraded (I had a $50 NE2, so I got a total discount of $100).

I ordered on the phone because this extra discount did not show up online when I tried to order. On the phone the CSR couldn't find any evidence of such a discount. I told her I had the letter in my hands, it said I could have an extra $50 off, and it was labeled as being form "Manager, Preferred Customer Team".

After that the CSR said she'd take my word for and apply the discount manually...

So, while YMMV you may try to scam yourself an extra $50 by claiming to have such a letter. It's possible she later checked with a manager or the Preferred Customer Team, but she didn't say she would. She just said "Ok, I'll add that discount for you."

Best of luck if you try this...
 
For those who's status has changed from "order being processed check back in a few days", how long did it take?

I'm a bit concerned that I waited to long to pre-order, but I may just be over reacting.
Is that what your order actually says? Mine still states 'Order Status: Your order is awaiting approval or phone availability. Please check back in a few days.'

2nd: Notice how they call it a blackberry case. Nothing really fascinating by it. Just something I noticed.

I have that case on my Omnia and love it! Kept the phone from getting scratched up and only made the phone slightly larger. Hope this helps!

Serious 'face palm' suggestion...

Anyway, tried to order through CSR on phone yesterday...she said no dice, all orders have to be done online now. I was trying to get the one year vs. two year contract/price.

How did you get 20% off? Has anyone gotten this case? Is it really snap on silicone or plastic. Can you return an online accessory purchase to a store?

i think im going with the SGP anti fingerprint. My friend has it on his iphone and it really does not effect the screen color too much. Granite...thats not an amoled screen so we will see. Are SGPs out for the incredible yet tho?

no, not yet. they release when the phone does. even with those that have ordered the ZAGG invisible skins all have their orders still "processing". I assume they don't even have them yet and people are preordering without realizing it
 
5. 512mb "rom" is oniy used for OS storage. I still do not know why companies call the 512mb a "rom" since not accurate description.

ROM is Read Only Memory. Memory which can not, (well is not designed to) be overwritten. That's exactly what the OS is. It's information in memory that is only meant to be read. How is ROM not accurate for the OS?
 
BTW when people reply with a quote it is real easy to cut out the image and just reply so we all don't have to side scroll again and again on each page someone quotes.

I am really curious to know if these covers are thick enough to make it so that the phone will now be flush with a flat surface making the camera not stick out. I have already ordered and received the clear one
