Root Default Can I update my s3 mini firmware (through odin)without changing the csc code?

Hi,

I want to update my s3 mini firmware version from I8190XXAMB3 to I8190XXAMG1. I want to update it manually using Odin since OTA and kies updates are not avilable for my region right now. I have downloaded the firmware of German version. Can I start flashing the phone with that .tar.mdi file? Or do I need to change the csc code before flashing? If I flash it with the new firmware without changing the csc code will it make my phone unusable?

CSC code: I8190O2CAMB1
Device region: Czech (O2c)
Firmware: I8190XXAMB3

Please advice me. Thanks in advance.

The problem here is that i have no idea how similar the s3 mini is to the big s3 but i think i know a guy on here who has one so ill ask him to look at this. He's a very smart guy....

As funky says I'm unsure how a like the two phones are but when I flashed a firmware on I didn't have to change my csc code before I flashed but I had to change it after I've flashed.

Your phone should work as normal (if like it's big brother) even with a different csc code. Here's a great answer about the csc code:

Thanks funk and yatezy. It worked for me without changing the csc code. After the flashing has been done, the csc code has been changed automatically to the new region.
