Hey Polkdots, if you peeking in on this then yea I guess I was right and came to a conclusion that it is good to condition the battery even with the batteries we use today : http://androidforums.com/htc-incred...e-official-htc-incredible-battery-thread.html

oh and good tip would benefit best if you ordered the phone and charged fully and additional 2-3 hours when you notice the green light because it's not actually 100% just yet . goes into a trickle mode. but reason you would be better off ordering it is because the phone wont be turned on yet and when you by it from the store they usually turn it on for you and do this and that and they use it . so turn it off right after if you get it from the sprint store or best buy or anything other then ordering it and charge it fully then use until dead then charge until fully again using USB to pc . do that a few times until the battery is dead and charge fully after then it's conditioned . after that use and charge when needed . BATTERIES ARE JUST BIGGER NOW BUT STILL REQUIRE THE CYCLE AND CONDITION TREATMENT IF YOU WANT THE BEST OUT OF YOUR PHONE LIFE WISE. AND STILL THE TASK RUNNING AND ETC CONTRIBUTES WE ALL KNOW . SO LEARN TO MANAGE YOUR PHONE . there is always the 3200maH .

Is it a mini-usb to hdmi cable that will connect the EVO to hdmi on a tv? Also, I'm hoping to use slingbox to watch tv on the EVO...anybody know if there is a Sling app in the android marketplace?

It's microHDMI to HDMI.

I believe a Slingbox app is in development for Android.

What you may want to do is go to your local T-Mobile store and play around with an HD2 which is Sense over top Windows Mobile. There are some big similarities that will give you an idea of what you'll be working with except the HD2 lacks multitouch from what I've gathered.
I had the HD2 from T-mobile and it most definitely has multi touch in the browser and gallery :)

yea kcs but evo and incred both have full multitouch not just in limited programs
... i just thought of an add they could use for the evo. evo vs incredible streaming a video of an evo vs a lancer or and fc or something like that

well there is the initial charge but after that its good. but the initial charge is done at the factory and then the battery is tested. lithium polymer is a different field though and it does have memory

Got this today...perhaps a 30-day spin with the Incredible to pass the time until the EVO?
Does anyone know if I return the phone within the "trial period" at VZW, will they still charge an ETF?

I know this question has been answered (somewhat) in the forums here, but my search has proved to be futile.

Did anyone figure out the exact venue for this Sprint party on May 12? Where in NY?
I myself haven't investigated because I won't be anywhere near NYC that week. If I was, I would have already planned out a way to sneak into the event. (Book the hotel a day before, hide in the closet, Print up a fake Press pass from that media site thats been giving false EVO info and viola.) lol

i do envy all those that are going though.

Okay, I moved out all posts that had sport related stuff to its own thread here.
I just might do the same for the Insurance stuff, but this last job drained me. lol

anyway, I've been checking the FCC site daily and as usual nothing today on the EVO.

TS

Thanks TS! Sorry for making your job more difficult. :(

Personally, I think its
1-A great writeup on the EVO.
2-That more women are talking about the EVO. (wish we had more here doing the same).
Kudos to Taylor over there. It's one of the best written, informative blogs I've read recently on the EVO. And while its true that we already know all the stuff that was blogged, it great seeing the EVO so highly praised and getting the word out in social media blogs. The more the word gets out the better for Sprint, HTC at large.
.
Now, I know Shoe did not mean anything by his comments, I think its not a matter of women being geeky or not or hip. Shoot, most women I know of are as geeky as I am. One even puts me under the table with all the info and gadgets she has. Its just that in this IT/Media/mostly male dominated world, you see more males than females. They are out there, but not as much as I would like for them to be.

Anyway, remember folks, this thread is the definitive source of EVO info that alot of media, bloggers, etc are referring too. I've also been told that both Sprint and HTC are also watching this thread. So keep it real.

And if Taylor ever joins us, we welcome you with open arms.

Haha, yes of COURSE I meant nothing malign or condescending by my comments at all! I was very happy to read a well-thought out and informed article that's easy to grasp for the average reader who might not be "up to date" with gadgets, per say. Just loved the fact that it was written by a lady -because, yes- many of the articles and videos we see tend to be presented online are predominantly done by males. It's good to see someone gearing an article towards the girls. Geeky, quirky women are the shit. We all know this. :p

Nonetheless, we welcome everyone here with open arms. The more the merrier!

i don't think I've seen it mentioned yet, but Phandroid has reported that Sirius is getting serious about Android. Soon enough you will be able to get the service on the EVO.
Pretty cool. Just have to figure out how to connect the EVo to my cars audio system and i won't have to worry about getting an expensive Sirius enabled radio.

TS

Might be easier than you think if someone makes an FM transmitter app which shouldn't be hard.

I made some changes to this yesterday, but never did get a consensus, so I'm re-posting. Do you think I missed anything?

TS you can always use a mini to mini hook up. Most cars now days come with a 3.5 mini jack in to the radio just for that purpose.

Looks good bill, but I must confess I don't know everything you updated - I didn't have it memorized verbatim....yet...lol.
