There is coffee in Louisiana.. It's so strong that it's literally a goop!

You can actually stick the spoon in it and it will stand straight up. It's kind of like a coffee paste.

I had a bad experience on absinth 10yrs ago down in england. I can handle my drink but i swear i thought i was in a video game. I ended up on my then girlfriend's mum's roof throwing roof slates at neighbours and then the police. When i came down it took 6 police to restrain me. Im glad uk police didnt have tazers back then lol.
Bad times man. Bad times. English police arent very friendly to a drunken Scotsman alone in a cell and broken ribs hurt for months. Lesson learnt ;)

Funky, what is it about absinthe? Does it make you truly hallucinate? Or just really drunk?

Bro im not sure tbh, ive only had a few sips of it since. Bars here only let you have one shot. The logical part of me says its just alcohol same as any other but that night wasnt like normal drunk and i remember everything
Lol at Mad Dog. Thats the kiddy drink of choice here.
the smell of it reminds me of puking as a kid :D

Well I know Absinthe (in Europe) has a higher amount of Wormwood than our US version (Lucid brand)

Not sure what Wormwood really does, but I hear it makes you hallucinate, and then I've heard it's just a high amount of alcohol.

But that doesn't make sense, since Lucid has the same alcohol content. It has to be something else.

Yeah. Let me know if you find out man. Governments tend to ban anythin hallucinogenic so youd theyd have party pooped by now..

Here is the wormwood wiki.

And here is the chemical compound found in trace amounts in Absinthe which was largely blamed for "hallucinogenic" properties, but was found to be untrue.

For those of you who don't know what absinthe is.

The spoon is an Absinthe spoon.

Wondering if firing off a nasty letter to the makers of Lunesta would make me feel better... Their wildly high priced pills certainly didn't.

Sorry they didn't work for you. I also have issues with insomnia as well. Been fighting it for all my life, so I know where you're coming from.

I tried taking OTC sleep-aids such as Unisom once or twice and they aren't effective at all on me. Since the damage has already been done, it wouldn't hurt to write that angry letter to the manufacturer.

Hopefully you'll find it somewhat therapeutic.

Have you been drinking water? Sometimes if you don't drink enough water it'll give you headaches, but you won't feel dehydration. Sometimes not eating causes it too.

I have a friend who said this but I didn't believe her (thought she was joking).

I'll try it next time I get one.

I have gotten migraines from being dehydrated... Also, a hangover is just severe dehydration, and what is the biggest complaint of hangover sufferers? HEADACHES! lol

Ive been told Caffein cures headaches ..
I rarely get even little headaches but my sister gets bad migraines and if she is so bad that she has to go to hospital they always give her an I.V. cocktail of fluids pain med and caffein
So must be something about the combination of all three

Cool, Diablo III is coming out in September for Xbox360 and PS3 in September. That's not including GTA V, iphone 5S, and the Note 3. There's a lot going on this September lol

NOTE: Skip if not in the mood for a pity party/sob story. :)

I found taking melatonin is just as good. At least for me. :)
Not me. See, I've had insomnia since I was 17. For years it was easily treatable, and for years on and off I did nothing to treat it, just lived with little sleep. Then I had a brain tumor. And starting the day of my craniotomy to remove it, my insomnia went off the charts. I was wide awake in ICU the night of surgery. That's in my chart--it's not my imagination. Something changed/happened during the brain surgery, but no one can explain it. Everything imaginable was being monitored during the surgery.

It's now so bad that no drug, no dosage, no combination of drugs puts a dent in it. It sucks. :(
