Self Praise

Good post PyroSporker, I agree there's not much point in discussing/arguing it before it's released. It's just the first time I saw the 65k spec so it got me going trying to figure it out. A conclusive test would be if there was an hd2 next to an evo, with both showing a full screen vertical image of a gradient from black to medium/dark grey. The hd2 would show clear steps in the gradient and we'd be able to see how the EVO compared. Maybe self-praise could test this out if he has a unit on hand?
Interesting topic. The only problem I had with the Supersonic and HD2 in the past was that all three devices have a TFT/TFD LCD screen, yet only the Droid have the 16.7 million spec. Only thing I came up with was the Droid's special resolution. (480 x 854) The EVO and HD2 480 x 800 resolution makes the screen look so vivid, regardless of the 65K limit. If you follow the media blogs and the videos, one of the first thing people take notice is how beautiful the screen is. I wouldn't worry about it. EVO has a different touchscreen technology now, so strange things may happen. This wasn't the same screen used during the CTIA, but personally I think will remain 65K.
A Star-Studded Evening in Hollywood Celebrating Jerry Bruckheimer Sponsored by Sprint is not a EVO 4G event. A lot of shameless plugs here and there, but that's it. NYC event is starting to look suspect to me too, but a lot of people I know behind the scenes said they are going to this event. I have to find out more at my job on Monday.
On last thing, Sprint Football Live isn't sponsored by ESPN. ESPN Mobile TV is. NFL didn't dump Sprint for Verizon. Sprint was asked to pay a huge renewal fee for the application, and Sprint said they'll pass. NFL asked both Verizon and AT&T, and Verizon accepted the 4 year, $750 million deal. Sprint weren't bullied or forced to give their app to Verizon, like the media keep foolishly writing.
